The Acorn Indictments - A union-backed outfit faces charges of election fraud.
Wall Street Journal ^ | November 3, 2006 | Masthead Editorial

So, less than a week before the midterm elections, four workers from Acorn, the liberal activist group that has registered millions of voters, have been indicted by a federal grand jury for submitting false voter registration forms to the Kansas City, Missouri, election board. But hey, who needs voter ID laws? We wish this were an aberration, but allegations of fraud have tainted Acorn voter drives across the country. Acorn workers have been convicted in Wisconsin and Colorado, and investigations are still under way in Ohio, Tennessee and Pennsylvania.

The good news for anyone who cares about voter integrity is that the Justice Department finally seems poised to connect these dots instead of dismissing such revelations as the work of a few yahoos. After the federal indictments were handed up in Kansas City this week, the U.S. Attorney's office said in a statement that "This national investigation is very much ongoing."

Let's hope so. Acorn officials bill themselves as nonpartisan community organizers merely interested in giving a voice to minorities and the poor. In reality, Acorn is a union-backed, multimillion-dollar outfit that uses intimidation and other tactics to push for higher minimum wage mandates and to trash Wal-Mart and other non-union companies.

Operating in at least 38 states (as well as Canada and Mexico), Acorn pushes a highly partisan agenda, and its organizers are best understood as shock troops for the AFL-CIO and even the Democratic Party. As part of the Fannie Mae reform bill, House Democrats pushed an "affordable housing trust fund" designed to use Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac profits to subsidize Acorn, among other groups. A version of this trust fund actually passed the Republican House and will surely be on the agenda again next year.

Acorn and its affiliates have pulled some real stunts in recent...

Who is it that makes all the accusations of fraud? The Democrats. Who is it that is found guilty of all the actual, documented cases of fraud? The Democrats.

Expect the word "disenfranchised" to be used with nauseating frequency in their defense.

Acorn should be prosecuted under RICO for conspiracy to commit election fraud. If these people were anyay coached or instructed to violate the law, or otherwise encouraged to register people they know are dead or ineligible, someone will roll over and this thing could be a big deal.

Let's hope that happens

I was hoping that someone would post this. I did a quick search on ACORN and Seattle, this afternoon. Interestingly ACORN was mentioned in connection with the contested govenor's race in WA. They pulled the same stunt mentioned in the article, dumping a 1100 registrations, but these didn't get there by the due date, they were late. For some reasons they were sent UPS from another county to King County and it took longer than they expected.

Not surprising, but somehow I doubt Katie, Charlie, Brian, etc. will be interested in this.

Hopefully we will win next week and have two more years to keep weeding out the fraudulent voting schemes.

If we had only truly legitimate voters voting - I think the country would be shocked at how many FEWER dimRats there really are.

Think about it - If there are so many of these brain dead people, why is they every one of their attempts at a liberal talk show or TV show goes down in flames. Where are the viewers?

Also, it is the libRats that account for the vast majority of people who abort their progeny...for decades now...that represents tens of millions of little libbers that never grew up to vote.

I have yet to her what we should be told - all these fraudulent "voters" - were they, perchance "democrat"?

That would blow the lid off

My local rag will never print this, although they went out of their way to publish some obscure article on Republican fraud last week.

Now imagine there's a Democrat in the White House, commanding the Justice department.
These indictments never happen....

Who is it that makes all the accusations of fraud? The Democrats.

PBS had a story on tonight about Diebold machines, and HBO is going to have a program on soon, called Hacking Democracy, also about Diebold, which purportedly is owned by a contributor to Republicans. Not a mention of a possible Hugo Chavez connection to two Venezuela-owned manufacturers of American voting machines.

Well that seems fair. Half of them will be hacked to go Republican and half will be hacked to go Democrat. :-)

RICO.. RICO... RICO... RICO... RICO...

And these commies scumbags are doing all this with OUR MONEY!!! They get taxpayer funds all over the country along with funding from groups like AFL-CIO, United Way, DNC, NAACP, Southwest Voter Project and direct money from big-wig atheist types. In non-election years they attend protests for union bosses and government workers, they canvass housing projects to get new people signed up for government aid programs, they 'assist' in major urban areas in Census years to ensure that illegals and minorities are over-represented amongst other legal and illegal activities which are almost always involve federal government issues.

<< I hope the government comes down HARD on these pukes. Election fraud should carry some SERIOUS penalties. >>

It does. For America.

Election fraud inflicted Kennedy and Johnson and their Vietnam War upon us and elected both Carter, once -- and Cli'ton, twice.

And every other "Democrat" who has ever been "elected" has benefited from the millions of fraudulent votes cast in every election by the "Democrats'" legions of criminal aliens, felons, dead people and/or multiple voters.

The ironic thing about ACORN (who actively agitates FOR raising the minimum wage) is that they paid their people $5 something an hour to sign up voters. This was according to an ACORN official in KC when she was "explaining" how they didn't pay them per registration.

I completely agree. When Democrats win they win by the smallest of margins, i.e., vote fraud. They poll a race then manufacture just enough votes to win. And as you pointed out they've been doing it for decades.
