Kerry's off-the-cuff remark has been interpreted as saying members of the military who served -- or are currently serving -- in Iraq are not particularly smart. Off the cuff? Didn't Kerry claim it was a planned joke which he just left a couple words out of? You can leave words out of a script, but how do you leave words out of an off the cuff remark?

Kerry did frag his own party. Thank goodness His Supreme Arrogance never understood "Pride goes before destruction" so he remains the gift that keeps giving.

Yeah, it was Leno. Letterman was talking to Cary Grant. ;-)

"Pride goes before destruction"
So very true. His press conference that he did the day after was the real killer. It was one of the most profound displays of political self-immolation I've ever seen.
Mike Hatch the Dim governor candidate for MN did the same yesterday by calling a woman journalist "a GOP whore".

Kerry's off-the-cuff remark has been interpreted as saying members of the military who served -- or are currently serving -- in Iraq are not particularly smart. Kerry danced around the statement, claiming it was a bad joke gone worse, but in the last throes of an election cycle in which the Republicans were spinning into chaos, the Massachusetts senator gave them an opportunity to bring out that old saw about those wanting to get the military out of Iraq being anti-troops.
In the hours after Kerry's unbelievably idiotic statement, here in New Hampshire the Republican distraction machine was moving faster than the speed dial on a phone call-blocking program.
No bias here, no sir...
/what goes here again?

Senator Kerry then facing his own Democrat Party, by means of his low quality intelect and obviously lesser performance in educational facilities of great expense and poor rates of sucess, literally powered up a metaphorical telephone whose wires he (Kerry) had attached to the few and withered remaining liberal's genitals, loped off their heads, limbs and in a manner reminiscent of Genghis Kahn, screwed the momentum of that party.
How's about that truth to power, Bunkie?
Does the very special and of course elite junior Senator get a Purple Heart for this bungle?

Yeah but the Dem Campaign plane still exploded in midair and cost millions of lives.

Earlier this week David Letterman claimed Kerry was such a bad politician he was losing an election he wasn't even running in. . . . . .

I can't wait to see what his "botched joke" has evolved into in the future!
It's AMAZING how all these frickin' idiot Carry water-kerrying dipsticks try to twist and turn to get everyone to believe this "botched joke"!
"if you make the most of it and you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq"
If you slack off, don't do your homework, make no effort to be smart, you won't do well and you'll get stuck in Iraq!
There you go... That's EXACTLY what he said! Where's the joke? Where's the misinterpreting?
To: TenthAmendmentChampion
Notice how they make no attempt to refute the substance of the story. They just bemoan the obvious damage the USS Kerry has done to the Rats. Now Kerry knows how Yamamoto felt after Midway.

David Letterman or Hugh Grant... I couldn't decide which one I'd rather beat the sh*t out'a first.

Did you notice on Hannity and Dickwad last night how upset Alan was--it was that desperate liberal panick when they realize that their dreams are going up in smoke. I kind of like when we dangle the carrot in front of them and then snatch it away at the end--actually Kerry did that for them, all by himself!
