Earlier a reader blog entry covered a little controversy in the Minnesota Governors race. Judi Dutcher, who is the running mate of Democrat Governor Candidate Mike Hatch, was asked a question about E-85 fuel. Dutcher responded by asking what E-85 is. Now this is a pretty major blunder here in the agriculture states. E-85 is a major issue for us, so the fact that Dutcher apparently doesnt know what it is is significant. Tim Pawlentys campaign, the incumbent in the race, responded to the blunder by criticizing Dutcher for being ill informed on the issues. Amazingly, The Hatch/Dutcher campaign responded to that criticism by accusing the Pawlenty campaign of attacking a woman. The absurdity of that response was covered by the original reader blog entry, but today theres yet another chapter to the controversy. Hatch?s anger overflowed during a Thursday morning telephone interview. A Forum Communications reporter asked Hatch about Dutcher?s knowledge of ethanol and why she wasn?t available to discuss the issue. Hatch abruptly ended the interview with: ?You?re nothing more than a Republican whore. Goodbye.? He then hung up. Television crews following the Duluth native Thursday reported other sharp comments when reporters pressed him for response to Dutcher?s comments. A Republican whore, eh? If criticizing a female candidate for not being knowledgeable on an important campaign issue is beating up on a woman, then what is calling a reporter a Republican whore? Of course, Hatch is now denying that he made used the term Republican whore, but Im not buying it. Thats not something a reporter is going to lie about, nor is Republican whore something that is easy to misinterpret.
I guess McCain VP choice is save.
This guy has become totally unhinged.
Another discussion of the MN gov race: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1732188/posts
oops I meant she (has become unhinged) ;)
They sink lower and lower.
That they do. However there is one thing that disgusts me more than these democrat scumbags; the millions of people who will go to the polls on Tuesday to cast their votes for them.
DFLers are allowed the freedom of stupidity here in Minnesota for that is the mentality of the base that keeps them in power. ; )

Mike Hatch's forgotten scandal
Shame she doesn't seem to have that on tape....
She doesn't, does she?
I have to laugh. That cute little kitty cat is showing exactly how I feel after listening to the dems or talking heads for too long.
Thanks to Powerline for this explanation of this event. I remember there was a brouhaha this summer over something or other that involved Mike Hatch, but I had not really paid enough attention to the details to comprehend the actual meaning of Hatch's inappropriate and unethical conduct in this afair. I hope he gets his clock cleaned on Tuesday.
Versus most other reporters who
are sluts of the Left...
Everybody knows he was referring to President Bush! It was just a botched joke!
I think the Pioneer Press actualy endorsed Tim Pawlenty over Mike Hatch. Naturally the Mpls Star-Tribune endorsed Hatch (without any explanation other than he is a Democrat and those socialists at the Strib don't care for the USA, capitalism, Christianity, and/or Republicans).
Perhaps Hatch was going for the unhinged Garrison Keillor fan vote.
This will be NOTHING compared to the insults Republicans will endure when the Democrats take the House.
I hope the "I'd rather stay at home than vote" Republicans enjoy their tax increase and knowing that our military men and women have died in vain in Iraq.
Why do these dimwits thing that such name calling is appropriate. I would never vote for someone that can not control their emotions.
This is how they get when they think they are untouchable and above the law, they can do whatever they want and their friends or the taxpayer will pay for their lawyers and the press will cover up.
Having no manners or a sense of common decency must be a qualification of sorts for Democrat candidates.
