If Steele doesn't win the senate seat, Pres Bush should appoint him to some highly visible cabinet position. He is a treasure.
No one who thinks for themselves reads the Washington Post, so I have no worries that any hit piece in the Compost would have any impact on Steele's race. It won't reach beyond the braindead zombies who'd not vote for Steele anyway and who still think the Washington Compost is a newspaer one could put their faith in.
Interesting isn't it that Steele is expected by the Compost to be "independent" and that they in their rank bias perceive he's not means they have to hit him with both barrels. But why isn't Ben Cardin who's nothing but a braindead lock step zombie hack for voting down the line Democrat not similarly taken to task by the Compost for lack of independence? Isn't it funny how party line hacks like Cardin are no problem in the eyes of the post. But Steele who has shown a willingness to go his own way when necessary but in other instances agrees with the party, well he's to be ground into the dust for not being just like a Democrat lock stepper! What amazing double-think.
