Dear Lord,

The lives of countless unborn babies are riding on this election. We need Senators who will vote for prolife judges.

Don't forget on this election day what we all stand for...

With the 2006 elections upon us, we see the same issues as the last presidential election, still heated and undecided. War, abortion, so called same sex-marriages and many other issues make this election more of a moral decision than a political one. PRAYER FOR OUR COUNTRY

Almighty God,
bless our nation
and make it true
to the ideas of freedom and justice
and brotherhood for all who make it great.

Guard us from war,
from fire and wind,
from compromise, fear, confusion.

Be close to our president and our statesmen;
give them vision and courage,
as they ponder decisions affecting peace
and the future of the world.

Make me more deeply aware of my heritage;
realizing not only my rights
but also my duties
and responsibilities as a citizen.

Make this great land
and all its people
know clearly Your will,
that they may fulfill
the destiny ordained for us
in the salvation of the nations,
and the restoring of all things in Christ.

An excellant idea, Cindy :) Like Quilla I'm optimistic because I too believe that God loves America. I can't see Him ever allowing evil to overcome good as long as good people are willing to stand against evil. God has blessed us with unimaginable resources and I believe he will continue to do so. When my path becomes rocky I rely on my faith, the words of a favorite Bible verse and the knowledge that God would not have brought me this far just to let me fail now. The verse is Jeramiah 29:11 and I think it applies to our country, too.

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."

I pray that God will continue look with favor on this nation, giving us the strength to stay focused, to keep moving forward, to finish the work begun. Strengthen our efforts to defeat our enemies. I pray that our hearts are always grateful for the men and women of our country who answered with courage and valor when called to defend this nation and the liberties we have so long enjoyed.

Lord, please give us good men and women to lead us in the Senate and the House. Inspire those who believe in you and your commandments to get up tomorrow and get out to vote. Let every voter think of the unborn babies before he casts his ballot.

I pray for a divine intervention! I pray Jesus will reach down and give us all the strength to do what is right for our Country. I believe the evil within the democRAT party is as evil as our enemies in the middle east. We need his help to bring those into line that have strayed. God has blessed our Country and our lives in so many ways. May he continue to bless our President and Mrs. Bush.

I just do not know how this Country will live through Nancy Poloci. Get out and vote tomorrow! God Bless America and those wonderful young men and women protecting us tonight!
