The way this election is being touted by the press ANYTHING LESS than a landslide will be a defeat.
And lets face it, they have been wrong since the turn of the century.
Also Rove feels that the Pubbies will stay in control of both houses. And he has been right a lot lately.
If so this will be a resounding defeat.
But either way it is not going to be a landslide.
So what is energizing the 'silent majority'?
What I'd say and what we should point out to the Lame Stream Media is that the media coverage is the main reason conservatives are going to turn out in droves.
It is because they are ticked off at the media coverage of this election!!!!
Not that it will help speed the death of the old media but let's call a spade a spade!
If the GOP gets lucky and manages to stay in control, there will be such mass hysteria by the Dems and the driveby media that it will be fun to watch. And yes, Republican voters ought to make it clear that it was because of the endless, blatant cheerleading for the Dems that they lost the election. That would just kill them.
That's a big part of what's driving me, along with the SCOTUS appointments. If President Bush can get just one more Justice appointed before he leaves office it would be one of the most significant advancements for conservatives in a generation!
On another thread, I said my complete disgust of the media fired me up to vote. My vote was against the media not just because of election coverage but because of the bias all year, every year. They are hateful and immature. Especially that MSNBC-matthews and olber...(?)
Large part of my vote is I can't stand the libs/DBM/MSM and all the other hacks who have been bashing Bush/USA for the past 6 years. Plus all those freaks here in CA with their Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers still on the cars....geesh
Every election I say the media is the worst they have ever been and every year I am right.
This election is not really GOP vs Democrats. It is the American People vs the Treason Media. There may be sufficient poison left in the latter's quiver to allow RAT gains but it will be the last time it has that ability to lie, hide and distort and be believed by any but a few fools.
FR has become a bulwark in the defense of the United States and is the biggest thorn in the side of the Treason Media today.

The MSM have been running this country for 30 years, about time someone noticed.
It is possible that this has become apparent just in time. A defeat for the MSM/DBM now may well finish them for good.
Err America can't pay people enough to listen to their crap, and they thought there was a burning desire for left of MSM action line in America. What idiots. MSM steadily loses paid circulation/share at an ever increasing rate. Katie Couric will have to take a second job in porno, oh the humanity!
- We need a nationwide network of pro-American newspapers to counter the NYT, et al.
- We need several mass market news magazines to challenge Time, Newsweek, etc.
- We need a real conservative TV network to get out the truth and challenge the garbage that CNN, CBS, etc spew every day.
- We need to be at the forefront of commerical podcasting
You’re absolutely correct in the case of my family.
As much as I’m voting in opposition to Democrats this election, I'm casting my vote against the Democrat Media. I want the Democrat Media to receive a clear, unequivocal message that they DO NOT control the direction and fate of our nation any longer.
My anger reached a breaking point this year and I finally took action that I threatened in years past but never carried out. I got together with a trusted CFP/CPA and we went through every investment and asset our family holds in the estate to identify companies or parent companies with ties to Democrat Media organizations. Plans were made to divest the holdings as soon as possible.
This election has opened the eyes of many people about the true nature of liberal media in the U.S.A. These outfits are not news organizations any longer. They are paid marketing agents for Democrats and nothing more.
Any investment in liberal media is equivalent to donating to the Democrat Party which I honestly believe has ceased to be an American political party. The modern day Democrat Party is a dangerous collection of anti-American, leftist insurgent groups. My family is tired of contributing to their wicked cause.
How about "SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE NANCY PELOSI"? If THAT possibility doesn't get ALL conservatives to vote Republican, I don't know WHAT will. The MSM is acting like the votes are already counted and the champagne is on ice. Don't let 'em make it a party!
I have just been enraged with the Democrat media. Over and over for weeks I have heard how the American people hate Bush, hate the War, and finally screaming constantly the Democrats were going to win this election. Every 30 minutes on the radio for weeks now. Just down your throat. Election over, that's it, the media has decided. Something must be done about this but I just don't know what. This is not media, this is an arm of the Dem Party.
I got a call from a somewhat politically apathetic but common sense friend this evening. She'd just read an article in the paper blaming runways that were too short on President Bush. She couldn't believe how idiotic the press/democrats are. She called because she just had to talk to someone about it.
Hardcore political activists are not the only ones who are noticing...and getting perturbed about it.

The undecided and uninformed may conclude that "Mainstream" implies representing the majority of Americans, which is utterly false. It's important to stop reinforcing this image that they speak for America. It affords them a degree of credibility and respect which none of them deserve.
