Santorum "very confident" despite exit polling: 9 PM
Pittsburgh Post Gazette ^ | Novemeber 7 | Dan Majors &Tim McNulty

The AP has already said Rick Santorum's 12-year Senate run is over, but his campaign is denying that -- and raising lots of complaints about voting irregularities. According to the AP, state Republicans asked Pennsylvania Secretary of State Pedro Cortes to investigate what they said were instances in at least 12 counties where voters allegedly tried to vote for Republican candidates but that the machines reflected Democratic votes.

Santorum's campaign said voters complained that votes cast for the Republican were registered on computers for his Democratic opponent Bob Casey.

They (the media) hate Santorum. I'm glad I missed that.

And as anybody who was paying a lick of attention in 2000 knows, you'd win that bet.

You're right about complaining about the voting machines. The margin is 2 to 1 against him. It wasn't the machines but the voters that did him in. I am surprised it's this bad, though.

Deporting people is workable. President Eisenhower deported millions. There are also indirect ways to get rid of the illegal aliens (such as taking away the special perks and enforcing our employment laws).

Something is truly wrong with the voters in Mass. when they elected someone as sleazy with a touch of insanity as Ted Kennedy.

Maybe you could see more of the kids than I did but I only saw one of his little girls crying. The one I saw was younger--probably 10 or under. I can understand why she would be crying. She's young. Anyway, Santorum's a smart guy. He'll find something good to do with his life.

No. It's been a long day, and I'm kind of neurotic and heavily medicated.

I don't see how you can blame conservatives or the base. Here in OH, we out-did ourselves in EVERY category, turning out more Republicans to vote than even in 2004 (according to the reports we have)---but that wasn't enough. The Dems and Indies sank us, and the Iraq war was a big issue.

Rather than blame conservatives, especially Rush, I'd think we would be rather concerned that large numbers of our fellow Americans have basically turned their back on fighting terrorism.

Did Chris get nasty also when Kerry's daughters (adults) cried when he lost? I bet he didn't.

Maybe I'd watch Fox more often if they had more than an hour of real news in a given day. Not that CNN is much better on that, but it is better, albeit more biased. I don't care to see stupid alerts all day about the same minor story.

I would HOPE daughters would cry when their dad lost, if you know what I mean. It shows there is love there.

It is not the conservatives that didn't come through. It's the moderates. They stabbed the GOP in the back---again.

I disagree, it's GWB who has both excessively polarized our party and scraped & curtsied to the crazies on the fanatical religious fringe whose intent was (and probably remains) to replace the U.S. Code and state statutes with an American theocracy.
