IF i were President Bush I would say, "OK, the American people have spoken and they have voted for a tax increase, they will get what they voted for.. "HIGHER TAXES", across the board and withdraw from Iraq, NEXT TIME they need to understand that voting for Democrats has consequences"
This is looking horrible.
This is a truly disgusting night. Outside of 9-11, I cannot think of a worse day.
I really want to hurt somebody.
lets see if either nelson has any guts..i doubt it
they took out Karl Rove and Tom Delay for a reason. and this was it.
Suprising he lost to someone that has less knowledge than things found in a glass of water.
Ladies and Gentlemen, break out your checkbooks.... This is coming down to Allen in VA and its going to be ugly all over again. Anyone know if they have or have not counted the overseas military ballots yet? Thats our only hope now. Ironic, the military will have to save our bacon from terrorists and Democrats.
The lawsuits will fly, starting right.... about... NOW!

Man o man--last I heard on the radio Talent was up.
I'm so upset, I'm actually ill.
Well .. at least now I can do other things because I surely don't want to listen to the constant smarmy comments of the democrats. They won it - now lets see if they can keep it.
I'm afraid this means we are stuck with an amnesty program - thanks to all those who thought it would be cute to "teach the repubs a lesson". We're the ones who are going to suffer. Great!
I'm outta here!
do have have a link as to which counites are in and the ones yet to be recounted
The worst part for me and I'm not even from PA was the loss of Santorum.
mega dittos
I agree with your sentiments about 98%.
Something like 200K absentee ballots in VA last I heard. This ain't over.
"I really want to hurt somebody."
alcohol is a suitable replacement for a night like this.
The thing which worries me most is that a Dem majority in Senate means conservative nominations to the Supreme Court are highly unlikely.
I bet half the people who voted Dem have no idea, they believe what they read in the paper & see in the MSM. Wait til they find out!!
Those DUmmies who want us out of Iraq, will find out Bush was right. The terrorists will come here to kill us. They are in Iraq cause we are, once we're gone, they will be here, all they want is all of us DEAD!
The Jihadi's have won. They have proven they have a stronger will than America. They are now emboldened.
And the bill itself will be signed by a republican...
So where does the blame belong?
Thats what they voted for isn't it? Higher Taxes and Cut & Run? Call it like you see it.
i thought we would hang on to va and mo...but barely we lose..so its goes....lets see the nelson boys get some guts and swtitch but i doubt it
Military votes are counted.
Wow. There is no comparison between today and 9-11. Dems were sloppy, We were a lot sloppier (Allen was up 10 points at one point).
2008 is only 2 years away we can easily recoup and take back the house (and Senate) if necessary.
Can't wait to hear the way Rush spins this tomorrow. I don't want to listen to anyone, but I'm going to have to listen to him...just for my sanity.
Could the Democrats have been right after all ? Maybe the American people really don't know what's good for them ..
We have no chance in 08 without McCain or Guiliani.....
Yes, and once the illegals flood in, the rats have a whole new army of ignorant rat voters.
Gee, I didn't know Hagel was running this year!
/sarcasm>
Not necessarily. You got senators such as Nelson from Nebraska that could put a conservative over the top.

According to this, the big cities have reported and the counties of
CLAY
JASPER
PEMISCOT
POLK
have still not reported anything with talent losing by less than 12k.
I'm already through my 3rd bottle of wine! lol
Look, to everyone, this isn't the end of the world. We had a setback. We'll pick up our stuff, get back on our horse, and fight another day. Getting physically ill, or crying, or screaming, isn't going to change anything. What happened happened.
Now, we all need to try and find a way to make this work for our future benefit. That may seem like a tall order tonight, but I assure you that it is possible. All is not lost.
LOL
Just rub salt in the wounds why don't ya! lol Most of the dem congressmen who got elected tonight are more conservative than either of those guys!
LOL - I would want to say that too, but presidents cannot take the ball and go home. W is lame-duck now, big time. I think he knows he staked everything from 9/11 until today on fighting terrorism the best way he believed. Until tonight it worked and he had faith in the American people that the support would be there. He is probably quite shaken tonight on a personal level but I believe he is strong inside and will still do what he thinks is right. Except now he has no allies (of any power) anywhere. Irony is he cut taxes, help the economy grow to record levels, deposed a dictator, freed two nations, eliminated thousands of terrorists from this world, and put 2 good judges on the court. I suppose he has a legacy coming to him but the present is bleak.
It could happen - Ruth Grimmsburg was A C L U !
The Missouri votes that have yet to be counted are all from the "government cheese" areas -- namely Kansas City and St. Louis proper. Talent is done.
The big thing for Missourians is to watch the Amendment 2 cloning issue.
They will be either lost or declared ineligible because they didn't arrive in time.
Another matter is that Dem majorities in the House and Senate mostly likely mean an amnesty for illegal aliens will become reality.
Live to Fight another day. We're bloodied but not beaten. I honestly don't think that this is all that bad for us. Maybe we'll have to struggle again and fight an uphill battle, and remember what we stood for in the first place. Being in power for so long has made too many Republicans squishy where it counts.
Remember what Reagan accomplished. If we can focus our message, concentrate on the positive vision we have for America "The Shining City on the Hill", we will prevail. The Republican party as it stands right now (while better than the alternative) is merely a shadow of what it could be.
Rest up. 2008 is close.
