They will be voted out of office the second they try.
They are dumb but not that dumb. They can get away with it in San Fran, Chicago and NYC because those are liberal meccas.
Try that anywhere else and game over.

Nick Lampson, Democrat, won Tom Delay's old seat last night. He has the endorsement of the NRA and the TSRA. It is one of the things he said often in his ads.

If anything, this election proves that the general population of the US has no guts to stand up for what is right. Only 50% fought the first Civil War. Roughly 25% per side. The War for Independance was fought by maybe 30% of the Colonists against "foreign" troops twice their number.
I'm not giving up my firearms. If they make me a criminal for exercizing a Right, then I have very little left to lose.

They're coming to take'em away
The last time they tried that here it did not go so well...and it involved just one small group of rather odd people in Waco.

She may try, but I think the rats ahve got their nose blooded to many times by the gun issue to press hard on it, at least for the next 2 years with such a closely divided congress. After 2008 we will have to see who is in charge.

They will be voted out of office Oh, really? They tried for years, before actually doing it in 1994. Yeah, they got voted out of office when they succeeded ... by which time it's too late. Next time, there'll be no 10-year sunset provision. And Pres. Bush won't veto it, either.
When was the last time we saw any sort of gun-ban get repealed?

Conservatives had better be braced for a battle to disarm the US citizens. At a time when radical Islamists are infiltrating our country, this is not a time to disarm the US citizens. The 2nd amendment must prevail.

Maybe Our new SOTH will see the light.
No, I feel like *&%#@ today. They'll see it as a mandate to do whatever they want to the Blue States of America.
Did anyone eles see the G-L-O-W on Nancy and Hillary this morning? Absolute perm-a-grin. They looked ten years younger.
The elders of my family (75+ crowd) still look to these people like they were woven from the same cloth as President Truman or (remember, NRA-lifer) Kennedy. It's sad out here in the midwestern sticks because SO MANY people vote DEM owing to the farm subsidies when they themselves would vomit if the real agenda was forced on them. They consent because they have been insulated and no one has really come for them yet.

Since our right to self defense is inalienable and our right to keep and bear arms is enumerated in the Constitution, no bill, ordinance, code or act can change it.
You're wetting yourself over nothing.

Clinton's assault gun ban expired during the W first term.
Nobody will take your guns unless the folks in your area allow it. The people in my area will not. They do not have a chance to do this on a federal level.

1) I'm not "wetting myself" ... if all you can manage is insulting rhetoric, I'll just take that as your admission that you're wrong.
2) What good are your "rights" when the cops show up at your front door with their guns, determined to take yours? I'd much rather prevent that situation than actually deal with it. YMMV.

I have over 5000 rounds of 5.56mm and over 1500 rnds of 7.62mm and have the bullets and powder to almost double that. Any libtard that tries to take my weapons will be in a dozen pieces before they get withing 100m of my house.

"Expired" is NOT the same as "repealed".
Allowing that misbegotten legislation to expire required all the courage to do nothing. Normally, congressthings are pretty good at doing nothing. (In fact, I wish they'd spend a lot more time doing nothing.) "Repealed" means passing new legislation specifically deleting existing legislation from the books. Got any examples?
Again, I disagree with the notion that the 'rats are incapable of passing a nationwide gun-ban.

Bush said he would sign an extension of the AWB if congress sent one to him. Maybe now they will.

They do not have a chance to do this on a federal level.I'd like to believe that, but what will gun owners do when the gun grabbers come around, house to house, picking gun owners off one by one, as they did in New Orleans? Is anyone really going to organize some form of collective armed resistance? I doubt it. "From my cold dead hands" sounds great, until you realize the goons outside your door outnumber you and your neighors are in hiding.
