It isn't too late. Seize the day.

I intend to start by writing to all my my Democrat representatives and demanding answers as to what they plan to do about, among other things: the high price of gasoline; the staggering (and skyrocketing) costs of illegal immigration; the increase in identity theft; voter fraud; waste, fraud and abuse in government bureaucracies; and the threat of global terrorism.

Well I do think they were misled. Do you think new dems if they had run on their true core beliefs would have won.

Immaterial. They knew that they were picking up a rattlesnake. They wanted to be lied to. See my tagline.

We need to get rid of liberal Republicans in primaries, then take on the 'rats

If more of us took part in the primaries, a RINO would only be known as the misspelling of an animal from Africa.

"It isn't too late. Seize the day."

Statement of the DAY! IMHO.

Damn people, some folks left their spines at home and quivered their way to the polling box, and it seems a bunch of paintywaists around here would join them?

I'm bummed about this, but I'm eager to get the ship upright again. Cripes, how pathetic...

A freak show for sure, and your list didn't even include Barney Franks. He is a truly despicable embarrassment - apart even from keeping a male prostitute he is an insufferably, insanely loud mouthed liberal.

As bad as it's been yesterday and today (Rumsfeld! Waaah!), everyone should remember it's not the end of the world, or the republic. As Ann Coulter said, Republicans can't win everything all the time. Sometimes you have to take some hits, and sometimes taking some hits is for the best. You know the cost of Ronald Reagan? Jimmy Carter.

We've taken a beating, we'll all acknowledge. The thing that matters now is what we - everyone - does next. That means waiting and seeing, trying, hoping and praying.

"Comprehensive Immigration Reform"

The deeper I get into the Demographics of the Vote, it becomes clear that we lost the votes of Hispanics, and the Biggest losers of this election ARE BLACKS...

It is now proven that Dems do not have to pander to blacks to win, Hispanics are the Future.

They will cast the Blacks upon the ash-heap of Abortion-Induced Genocide after the 2008 Election, when they won't need them anymore.

"will come to bite them back, especially in the pocketbook."

I am not worried about that at all. We have not been doing very well with regards to the WOT. Even if we won in Iraq we are still losing ground around the world. Now we will have to pull out of Iraq this will signal that we are weak to the terrorist they will hit is at home after we have left.

The war on terror has just became a whole lot worse then before. I expect millions of Americans to die before we go back.

Well remember what happened with Clinton in his first two years, the voters decided to bite back at the rattlesnake dems.

We cant follow the democrat tactics asking "why did they win?" rather than "why did we lose?"

They ran more conservative candidates

"So you can have Reagan and I'll have Thomas Jefferson."

Sorry, but that ain't gonna get it. We've got to settle some serious differences among ourselves before we even think of going after Dems. The Conservatives and the Libertarians have to get this fight done now, and settle things. Because if we don't, we're going to be in the same place in 08.

A brilliantly short, and true, assessment.

Now our President will have to "give the people what they want"--what they voted for anyway.

I am no longer going to clog the fax lines of my dedicated, "no new immigration", "secure our borders", conservative Senators and Congressmen. They will have enough on their plates, as they battle, FUTILELY, with House and Senate Dims. Instead, I'm going to learn Spanish--'cause next election cycle we'll probably ALL be using Spanish language ballots.

Yes, Sir. The people got what they wanted. Now we won't have to worry about "guest workers", there will just be a "general amnesty". The "immigration issue" will quickly, quietly, and conveniently be "put to bed", a "win" in the Dim column, and totally solved, according to the Clown Car "drive-by" media! We can all stride confidently into our rosy new "changed","all inclusive" future.

God, I am so thankful for those fabulous "conservative" Dims! We really taught those dishonest, morally inept, money-spending Republicans a lesson, didn't we?!!!! /s

Sorry for the rant, but I've had a belly full of the self-righteous "conservatives" I've encountered lately. Welcome to our "brave new world" (no sarcasm intended), courtesy of "true conservatives".

They ran more conservative candidates

And these "conservatives" are beholden to nancy pelosi. They will vote the pelosi line and hopefully be gone in two years.

Yes, but we can answer why ours didn't win...by trying to be moderates. By being too cautious. By not standing up to political correctness. By acting like they weren't a majority.

Well remember what happened with Clinton in his first two years, the voters decided to bite back at the rattlesnake dems.

Two years is too long.

Recommended course of action:

1. BLOAT

2. If you are in or downwind of a major urban area, move as soon as possible to a safer location

3. Dig in with a defensible perimeter

4. Be ready for TSTHTF

5. Once TSTHTF, aim small, miss small

We need to get rid of liberal Republicans in primaries

Hard to do when the party establishment throws its support and resources behind RINOs.

AMEN! I voted for a true conservative in the Ohio GOP primary, and DeWine still got elected. Now, we have Brown as our senator, and he is a communist. It is going to be a LONG six years, folks.

My piddle FWIW..

IMO, the Reagan conservative movement officially died when Newt Gingrich was ousted during the Clinton impeachment. Even in this election cycle, Newt offered a visionary 10 point plan for the Republicans to run on and the leadership did nothing. After years of spending like drunken sailors, all the former majority leadership offered was "we suck less than Nancy Pelosi."

What was left after Gingrich? We called them RINO's, but they were Democrats that ran as Republicans. What will be interesting now is that a significant number of the newly elected (D) House members ran on positions that are to the right of the current/former Republican majority. Are they DINO's? Or, did they lie to get elected? If they are socialists disguised as moderate dems, i.e. they lied, they will be in the street in 2 years with the RINO bums.

Our most urgent issue - who is the next great conservative leader? The media is already annointing McCain and that doesn't work for any/many real conservatives. Mike Pence? Mitt Romney? I don't know at the moment.
