AZ-5 Hayworth - NOT A LOSS YET, NOT AT ALL.
KFYI 550AM | 11-8-06 | Me

Heard on the radio here just now that there are roughly about 100,000 mail-in ballots still to be counted, and roughly 50,000 of those were brought to the polls yesterday. And with the race being this close: Mitchell - 71,077 - 51% Hayworth - 65,122 - 46% and with Hayworth not yet conceeding, its possible we could hold this seat.

Early ballots are absentee ballots because we voted early.

They are absentee (early) ballots and provisional ballots, please allow those from AZ to explain to you what the dynamics are, and oh by the way, I heard Hayworth on radio claim it about 10-15 different times when they kept playing the clip over and over, so you stand corrected. Not that he's going to definitely win, but that we have a ton of absentee(early, mail-in) ballots.

There are 250,000 uncounted ballots in Arizona with 100,000 from Hayworth's district. I would think it augers well for Hayworth but the dems in that district are well educated, pretty savvy and may very well have mailed in their ballots too.

I hope it will make a difference in the Marriage Amendment, that was the shocker to me and very sad. Who wrote it up? It was pretty far reaching and allowed the "others" several discrete groups of people to unite and rise up in opposition to it.

Kind of pathetic, but then this has been the undercurrent for a long long time. Probably from the day he announced he was running for President.

More likely started the day he called the Minutemen 'vigilantes' and tried to shove amnesty down our throats.

Keep me posted too!

This is unique to AZ, the # of absentee/mail in ballots going out there.

(still praying for JD and Prop 107).

"Bush never said Pelosi gets what she wants. He said he`d talk with them but maintain his principles. Exactly what he should say."

Unfortunately, his principles include a determination to sell out our sovereignty to Mexico. He did say he was looking forward to shoving his massive shamnesty unto the unwilling electorate with the dems' help. Seemed real happy about it, in fact.

Give it up, you are sounding like you belong at DU. George Bush is a great man and he`s not selling our sovereignty to anybody. We may disagree with some of his plan, he`s a man of principle and to insult him as you did is irresponsible and childish.

Look, I voted for our President, and vigorously supported him against the pompous traitor Kerry in '04. On immigration enforcement and border security, however, he has been a disaster.

In my opinion, it's "irresponsible and childish" to continue to pretend that GWB actually wants a secure border and national sovereignty, despite the evidence.

Words mean something and , when you spout off that the President doesn`t want national sovereignty, I question whether you understand what you are saying.

I understand words pretty well, and when I say President Bush is selling out our sovereignty, I mean it.

I sincerely wish it wasn't true, but if you look at his words/actions regarding illegal immigration, his complete disregard of the electorate (not to mention his base) with this issue, his hostility to securing the border despite the terror risk, and his cozy relationship with the Mexican elites, it becomes clear. Pretty soon, it will be obvious to anyone paying attention.

Please believe that I came to this conclusion most unwillingly.
