Seriously??
[not so much to you, but to lots of posts I've seen:]
I'm getting pretty tired of all the wilting "conservatives" here... all "woe is me..." end-of-the-world childishness.
Get over it.
So we lost a battle. Al Queda won this one. It sucks, but this is war and this stuff happens. This is no time to sit on our hands and whimper about it. We only lose when we stop fighting. In this election, we didn't fight the good fight. We let the enemy win. Sure it was dumb, but it's not like we didn't see it coming.
On to the next battlefield, maybe a little wiser.
I'm still not buying the notion that lots of conservatives stayed home.
"If this had been announced a week ago, the results yesterday would have been very different!"
Bush previously said Rumsfeld would stay with him to the end.
They aren't going to be considering the effect on 2008 for quite a while.
"God forbid we get Richard Armitage."
Armitage is looking for some Democrats who will hire him.
Those Plame-Wilson people are simply worthless.
Me neither. Some of them actually voted. Only problem is they voted for the democrat pretending to be a conservative.
Polticial whore.
Hell, I won't be surprised to see Powell get a job!
"I have the tv off...I get my cues on what's on tv from FR, then turn it on....I'm not watching anything political for several days."
Oh gosh, me too but for longer than several days. I'm sticking to FR and a few blogs and that's it.
Not a chance. How would he be confirmed? Bush certainly is not going to get Gates confirmed for six months.
That's what he said
I'm not finding a quote from Plame yet .. but I'm seeing a few articles mentioning Gates and Iran Contra
He said (and I believe him) that he didn't want the troops to see this as a political gesture.
Now, that being said, I wonder why oh why, didn't GWB say to Rummy:
"Don, listen. Here's the thing. You're out. What I need is for you to draft your resignation. This will be your decision, not mine. You will call a presser for Monday afternoon and announce this. This will signal a change in our Iraq policy and have the effect of solidifying the undecideds in our favor."
I'm surprised Rove didn't think of it.
It shows how bad the tunnel vision at the WH was coming up to this election.
I can't help but wonder if futeure deployments will go as planned or just what in terms of Afghanistand and Iraq.
(My boy is scheduled to go)
Shep's eye liner isn't running again, is it?
The last 24 hours...my head is about to explode...WTF happened to America?
Misled by the MEDIA and the RATS...and the weak minded have put us in this position..man o man o man....
POOF!
I only caught 2 minutes of it, right after Gates spoke. Just my impression.
IIRC (and it's been a long time), Nixon had to get Senate approval to appoint Ford VP.
Does this mean the Plames are taking their house off the market and staying?......I feel like I like in a bizzaro world today.
