Even if they have a fairly pro-life voting record, I don't know how a pro-lifer could work to advance the agenda and power of such a pro-murder party.
I think you meant to address that to me, but look where "no abortion litmus tests" have gotten us. 33 years of murdered children under Republican appointed justices. Your strategy seems to be working extraordinarily. /sarc
They are weakening. The Democrats put something else as the top thing on their agenda for the first time. 10 years ago Democrats were not allowed to run and call themselves "pro-life" - because that's our language.
Iraq has changed that. They want out so bad, they're willing to start moving towards the position. Remember, only a rare few are total ideologues on this - the majority of them are politicans, and will change in an instant if they are pressured.
Casey Jr and the other pro Abortion Catholic Senators will also be honored by all of the Catholic Bishops and Cardinals in the U.S.
Casey Jr. Took over $500k from one of the leading Catholic Pro Abortion Politicians, John Kerry! Casey Jr. signed a contract with the Devil!
Bishop James C. Timlin (Bishop of Scranton) is a great friend, Democrat and Supporter of Casey Jr.
Cardinals Roger Mahony, Eagen, O'Malley, McCarrick, et. al. provide support and comfort to Senators Kennedy, Kerry, Leahey, Biden, Mikulski, Murray, Menendez, Salazaar, Derbin, et. al.
The University of Scranton (run by the Jesuits) provide honoray degrees to the pro abortion Senator Biden and former speaker of the house, Tip O'Oneil.
Let's face it the Bishops and Cardinals in the USA are very tepid Pro Life Proponents.
Judge them by their actions and not their words!
It didn't go so well. It looks like Kennedy might vote to strike down the ban. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1735104/posts
Kennedy [1988] and Souter [1990] were nominated by Reagan and Bush 1 again while the democrats, not republicans, held the senate with 55 seat majority. Clarence Thomas was nominated by Bush 1 and pushed through confirmation in the Dem senate only with the huge outpouring of outrage by the public for how he was treated by those same dems. Ginsberg and Breyer were nominated by Clinton while the dems held the senate
When the conservatives finally organized enough and worked hard enough to get a Repubican Senate, the nominees became such as Alito and Roberts who have been confirmed, plus other conservative justices for lower courts. Guess the moderates somehow didn't show up to vote against? And now, with the senate loss just what happens to all those conservative justices who are sitting in committee?
