Where did you hear this?
Much appreciated.
Lets be honest. Every single one of us has known this was coming since about 1:30 AM last night. Its over. We lost. Lets set a good example and not pull an Al Gore. Man up and just take it. The sad thing is that this seat and the Montana seat should never have been in play. Both encumbants ran poor races and suffered from horrible cases of foot in mouth disease.
Election Speculation - A friend suggested that the election results were driven by the Iraqi War. I disagreed so I ran these primitive datamining graphs out of curiosity.
To my suprise, all three graphs imply that "Iraqi War" was the primary topic on voters' minds.

Are all the absentee ballots counted?
The Court can continue to hear cases with only eight justices, yes.
Just wait until they take over and start raising taxes. Pres Bush better have the veto pen handy this time around because they do not have the votes to override a veto.
It's not tanking because investors are banking on the House/Senate being busy settling old scores and gridlocked they'll leave business alone.
PS - VA State Election Board will NOT certify the election until 27 Nov.
Typical of today's new stripped-down MSM, the AP article has a half dozen words, no numbers, no explanation, no date, no time.
This thread is meaningless. Might request deleting it.
Nothing meaningless about Allen giving up. That is the only reason the AP has given the Senate to the Democrats. Don't blame the media....blame Allen.
This is bad news for all us rich people (aka anyone who has a job).....I dread the days when my taxes go up....and people get layed off and a recession kicks in.
Tom Delay was just smacking Colmes upside his head about the corruption in the Dem party
A bright side is that now House and Senate Republicans will learn from the Democrates how they should have behaved when they were Congress's majority party had they the courage to act like a majority party. Sadly, they get the lesson and the rest of us pay the bill. And more sad is the fact that they are too arrogant to learn. They will continue to see themselves as our "leaders", our "policy makers", rather than facing the fact that they are merely our errand boys/girls sent to do simple chores, which they promise to do and then can't or won't do.
Kinda like the feeling you get when your dumbass brother-in-law wants to borrow your new truck (car for those of you stuck in a blue state).
Ditto...having Dr. Coburn up there gives me hope.
I'm surprised the president and his staff didn't do a better job of selling the war to the populus. They could have highlighted all the good we are doing and the progress we made, but instead said nothing.
We'll all pay for it now. Our enemies will know they only have to wage a rpopaganda war against the USA and they will kick our asses. No president will ever again have the balls to invade an enemy. We are really screwed, a nation of pussies. Frigging Nancyboys.
Conservatism is moderation!
What could be more moderate than believing in the sanctity of life, freedom of speech, a country based on a Christian culture, free enterprise, the rule of law, limitations on government and working to free men and women from the bondage of tyrants?
I believe it can, but it would be unsightly...Bush has the upper hand in that he has a deep bench and can send many candidates for the open slot. Dmes can get away with not approving 1 or 2 of them, but any more than that is gonna look real unsightly. Dems don't want to piss off half the country because they wont approve any Bush nominee. After all, a presidential election is on the horizon, and they'd also kiss their recent gains away (gains provided from moderates and independants in a larger than expected voter turnout)
Exactly...
