I'd like to see J.D. Hayworth run for President! He speaks clearly on conservative values and was targeted by the left because he was so right on about our porous borders!

Boy, those kids are so terrorized they don't even know how to look scared! Did your friend's son hypnotize them? ;)

And he is too great a man in his core being to act like Clinton - who only is out to leave his legacy -

I agree with you on that...but still believe we should pray that he not be lead into temptation.

I like JD a lot. Like Duncan Hunter, not much name recognition. Didn't he just lose his seat? If so, it's going to tough to run for Prez.

At this point, I'd like a visionary who is articulate and tough. I'd take Newt, but he needs to work through his issues early in the process, and have them be old news so they don't keep coming up in the campaign. Basically, he had some affairs. Maybe Winston Churchill had some issues too, but he saved Britain.

He'd have to run on why he lost: tough stance on illegals!

Arizona might be liberal - I don't know - but the guy who defeated him claimed that J.D. wasn't tough enough on the illegal problem! And I seriously doubt that was true!

All I think is that a majority of this nation wants toughness on people breaking the law to get into the States! NO more ILLEGALS!

And - THAT would be his strong hand to use! Securing our borders!

"The lowlights of the party come to mind in a fast and furious way. In no particular order:

1) The passage and signing of McCain-Feingold;
2) The Meiers nomination;
3) The curious inattention to the border problem, with our national security at stake. Who among us would not have started building a fence on 9/12/01?
4) The continued immigration of large numbers of young Arab males;
5) This country’s continued, and highly exasperating, dependence on foreign oil;
6) The continued kowtowing to the minority party on matters of foreign policy, including, but not limited to, the abandonment of the Bush doctrine;
7) The Administration’s timidity in the Gulf region following the fall of Hussein;
8) The Administration’s timidity in defending itself on the matter of WMD;
9) The Administration’s timidity in holding Syria and Iran accountable for the foreign murderers that enter Iraq across their borders – and the accompanying habit of drawing a line in the sand, then another line, then another line…"

That's worth repeating.

"Well it’s over now – the patient has succumbed. The shame is that he could have survived and become healthy, if only he had battled against the diseases aligned against him. After all, we were all pulling mightily for him, but in the end, he had no fight."

Either that or... the patient, high on the opiate of government as the solution, choose to embrace the very diseases that killed him.

I agree. The candidate that says "I will secure the border, enforce employer sanctions, and enforce US immigration law (including deporting illegals) will win. If we get a Pubbie wishy-washie on it, the Dem will win.

"Hey, guess what party American Jews voted for overwhelmingly. Democrats by a margin of 87%."

Yes, and it high time that we serve notice on the domestic jews that if they have abandoned Israel, there is no need for the americans taxpayer to continue to support the unbelievably corrupt government in Israel. Their version of democracy is almost as deplorable as the Islamic dictatorships. Israel's inability to muster to will to defend itself with all the aid we have given should be an additional reason to withdraw support. If the Arabs push them in the sea, maybe the europeans will see the handwriting on the wall.

I so admire the U S serviceman who are attempting to rebuild Iraq and befriend the Iraqi people and their young, but lets face it, the purpose of our armed forces is to defend this country not to build roads, hospitals and make friends with the children in a hostile country. We need to leave that place ASAP and NEVER send our troops anywhere except in defense of this country. If we are attacked, we respond. We destroy and obliterate those who attack us and then we LEAVE them to their woes.

I almost forgot Florida!

Bill Nelson, the weasel socialist, got more than 1,000,000 votes more than his Republican rival Katherine Harris--SO 2.3 MILLION of the 6.5 MILLION (roughly 35%)extra votes came from TWO STATES--New York, a Hillary stronghold...and Florida, where we had a weak candidate.

I still say the 6.5 million Dem advantage is a nice raw number, but not very effectual when you look at the details.

"Democrats, in my mind, don't have a mandate because they stood for nothing," radio host Laura Ingraham told her listeners Wednesday.

She was CROWING about the Dems winning. Guess she thinks that having new material is more important than supporting the troops.

I smashed my clock radio. (No, I am not joking.)

Many analyses of our loss appear reasonable; however, I am of the belief that the unions own the Democrats and big business owns the Republicans and neither party works for the "people". Its only about money and power.
