Let's see how this one plays out. Do the Republicans try to give the party a victory on the way out the door or do they bend over again?

So, is Obama going to do the right thing this time, or go with the white bluebloods this time again? Independent or clone? I think the liberal media adulation campaign will keep im on the tacit anti-American line again.
Seeing Kerry, Biden and Chafee work on him at the last committee hearing televised over Bolton was funny as heck.

This is the first good sign to come out of Bush since the election. If he had tossed Bolton overboard, then we would've known that Bush intended to completely capitulate.

And yesterday we were told Bush was going to throw Bolton under the bus.
Yesterday I would bet that the reason the President sounded so bad at his press conference is because he hadn't slept much if at all in 36+ hours and was just dead tired.

If the Senate refuses to vote on the Bolton Nomination, the United Nations Ambassador position should be left VACANT until they do. Whether it takes 2 weeks , 2 months , or 2 years. Eventually the Senate will be shamed into action.
Bolton has to vacate his position at the end of this year if he isn't confirmed.

I called Harry Reid's office to say he needs to allow the Senate to vote on Bolton. Call Reid via U.S. Capitol switchboard toll free number.1-866-220-0044.
Bolton has stood up to those who want to hobble America. We need him at the UN !

There wont be any suspense on this, as everyone will soon discover.
Bolton will be confirmed, and quickly. Bush traded Rummy for Bolton, and it has been planned for some time.
Rumsfeld, you are a patriot of the first order.

That's what I'm wondering about - there's probably some kind of deal in the background to allow this to go forward.... will Chaffee even show up? Maybe he's off searching for his next job (or maybe he doesn't need one - doesn't he come from some family money?).
