Harris is plugging a book that he wrote with ABC news political director Mark Halperin, who likewise downplayed the story. What's surprising is that there was someone at the Post who wanted the story on the front page. Maybe it was regarded as fair play after all the attacks on George Allen. What's not so surprising is that Harris was able to kick the story off the front page after all.
