Prepare for Steele to be rejected by large numbers of FReepers. He's not really conservative, or didn't run as one. Kiss of death. I'm just gleaning this reaction from what I read after the talk began about him replacing Mehlman. I didn't follow Steele's actual rhetoric and positions closely. All I know is he is African American and was running in the People's Republic of Maryland, a real tough sell for a conservative Republican.

I’m giddy at the thought. Steele could spell the end of the racist NAACCP. (National Association for the Advancement of Communist Colored People).
