The people that voted for them aren't going to matter now that the election is over.

You mean they're going to do exactly what the guys they just replaced did? Not right away, I think.

If Democratic party returns to the old New Deal formula, they will get Reagan Democrats back and secure their hold on power for a long long time.

A big if. But there's the real danger to us. Me, I'm not too worried. These are Dims after all.

The intent is to set the Blue Dogs against the Leftists. Having their bills (or bills they favor) blocked in liberal committees will not endear the Blue Dogs to the liberals.

You got it and yeah you are right. My tagline kind of says it concerning what happened to us. I guess when Republicans act like Democrats and Democrats act like Conservatives. Democrats win.

Amen. For the record I'm a pro-life, gun-toting, socialism-detesting Christian. I also happen to be a Democrat.

Since you're similar to our forum's owner, JimRob, you are certainly welcome here. It must be tiresome for some of you to hear this stuff about Dims-in-sheeps-clothing. The old conservative wing of the Democratic party has been weakened but it's not gone. In recent years, it voted Republican. Now, Bush and the GOP squandered their claim to being conservative so you conservative Dems voted for conservative Democrats. Can't say I blame you.

Just ride herd on these new Blue Dogs so Nancy can't turn 'em into Pelosicrats.

Does anyone here believe there is such a thing as a "conservative" dem? If any of you do, you must be blind, stupid, or dim witted.

When the voting starts in the House, they will vote like a liberal because the ARE liberals.

If people voted for them thinking they are some kind of new dem., then the people of this country are even more stupid then I could have imagined.

When the SS division of the ATF comes crashing through the door of that dem. voter who thought they were voting for a conservative ... only at that moment before he and his family are butcher by sub-machine gun fire because of an unregistered Daisy BB gun, only then will he have realized his mistake.

You are right. They are too obsessed with promoting homosexuality. I just heard them interviewing pro-gay "conservative" on NPR. They are completely deranged.

Would you prefer being suckered by libertarians and wolves in sheep's clothing, instead?

Subversion. And do you think Schwarzenegger, Giuliani, and their ilk are any more sympathetic to pro-life and anti-gay marriage issues than the Dem leadership are?

Sounds like Schwarzenegger and Giuliani!

It would be so much easier if we had a major Libertarian Party and a major Christian Democratic Party here. Then every possible combination would have a party, and the Greens still don't get any!
