I agree. One thing the MSM has really learned how to do is to maintain their own version of reality and even adapt it to criticism without ever even mentioning the critics or giving the least impression that there is any source of information except themselves.

That total encapsulated vision can be very persuasive to the casual reader of whom there does not need to be more than 10-15 percent of the population to make the difference.

And they have done this in the face of having Fox be 'fair and balanced'. Pretty good trick. I think Fox needs to shift a bit from being fair and balanced to being corrective and constructive (or some Rio Linda-level version of that). Openly criticize the opposition by name. Point out particular lies and evasions, naming names and playing tape.

Shine the light on the MSM so the audience can see the scaffolding and the women behind the curtains.

Just my $0.02 worth.

"The humbled President admitted he was 'open to any idea' which might help him end the unpopular war. After the lunch, he congratulated Mrs Pelosi on becoming America's first female House Speaker."

Ronald Reagan NOT!!!

Republicans are SOOOOOO predictable.

Everytime we loose, they go groveling in sackcloth and asjes to the Dems and American people.

When the Dems loose, they come back fighting and NEVER attribute any losses to their political philosophy, but always to some other factor.

Despite the fact that the Dems are WRONG on almost EVERY issue, they at least have the courage of their convictions.

Republicans apparently are WUSSIES.

Hopefully 2 years of Nancy Pelosi will bring a lot of voters to their senses.

Whatever, it will be an interesting 2 years watching the Libs out Lib each other. Think of it as the Clowns running the Circus and Nancy and Hillary beating each other over their heads with rubber bats.

Actually...I'm looking forward to this.

You are forgetting the woman's vote. There is a legion of revanchest, bitter, middle aged women out there who bought into the whole feminist spiel who will vote for her if only because, "It's our turn now"

I know women who don't follow the news carefully, and they LIKE Hillary. These people watch the NBC Evening News and never heard of FR. They also read the local liberal newspaper.

We could defeat her in the primaries if we register as a democrat. The Dems do it all the time, quite effectively, and it does make some sense.

The other tactic is to support a "green" party candidate. Triangulation = a popular trick of the Democrats (used in some states in this election).

Also, we MUST find a way to compete with, or by-pass the Media.... they ARE the enemy.

The ONE thing that might help us if after two Bush presidencies, maybe Americans are more hesitant to do a "dynasty" presidency again.

Republicans should not expect the media to bring down Hillary. They will NEVER do to a Democrat what they routinely do as a matter of course to a Republican. Yeah, I know its a double standard. Who said life was fair? Republicans will have to get the truth out to the American people by themselves.
.................^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Exactly. We have to find a way to minimize the damage the media is doing. We can complain and whine but we've got to do something. I don't have the answer but I know there are great minds amungst us- the RNC should make this a #1 priority.

- start a network?
- buy advertising time slots and use it to educate people

Any ideas.?

...Mrs Pelosi met a once antagonistic President whom she has variously described as 'dangerous', 'in denial' and 'an emperor with no clothes'.

Pelosi calls the President names but it's the President who is antagonistic?

ALL of these reasons to vote for Hillary seem pitiful to me. How people can blythely just toss away the gravity of an election and vote based on sentimentality makes my blood boil.

A very large number of Americans don't believe that who sits in the Oval Office has any direct impact on their daily lives - it's just another MTV Music Awards ceremony to them. But if Hillary wins, they will learn better.

I can't help but wonder if a few thousand dead people here, a few thousand illegal aliens there, and a few more convicted felons just for good measure have handed us this nightmare of a congress.

Hillary is hyper thyroid with her bulging eyes. Hopefully this or a cancer scare will keep her from running in the first place. I rate this possibility at 40%

But these power mad lunatics have a way of hanging on despite disease and cancer. Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Arlen Spector being fine examples.

The Democrats intend to emasculate Bush and discredit him before they move in for the kill by impeaching him. They have a score to settle and they calculate from the vote Tuesday they face little risk in bringing down a President they think the country hates as much as they do.

I believe they'll do all of that except the impeachment and that there is a deal already in place. I hate to say that because I love George Bush. But I also think he'll help them get their way on pretty much everything in return for not being impeached. Flame away folks.
