Re: your points in post# 80: good points all, and I realize it's not totally fair for those of us not in the position of Connecticut's Republican voters to criticize how they voted.
But I have one very important concern: is there any guarantee that Lieberman won't morph into a Soros Democrat now that he's been safely reelected? If Soros were to offer him support (either in money or the mere prestige of his political "blessing") to change his position on the one issue on which he has disagreed with him, do you think he will turn down that offer? Does the man have that kind of integrity?
