Only Ben Nelson (D - Nebraska) bested the GOP's worst, the defeated Lincoln Chafee (37%).

The unseated DeWine (80% lifetime rating) was defeated by Democrat, Sherrod Brown (8% lifetime rating).

The Maine girls are both in the 50's --- but I am glad we have them and not democrats.

Some 'conservatives' are so focus on 1-2 issues (and sometimes they are not even so important) and ignore other issues. So much that they are willing to replace someone with 80% lifetime rating with 8% lifetime rating. Although, to be fair, this is lifetime rating. If we look at the more recent ratings, DeWine's probably may not even close to that.

DeWine got worse.

56% in '05
68% in '04

Hmmm, so who would be the better presidential candidate, Jeff Sessions or Jim DeMint? Both have 98 lifetime ratings. : )

Yup. The people who hate Chafee and Dewine are entirely unrealistic.

Interesting to see their actual ratings, isn't it?

Who knew that the defeated Conrad Burns ( 91% ) had a higher lifetime rating than the also defeated Rick Santorum ( 88%)?

I did NOT know!

That's a hard call on Chafee. He was not his father's son who was also a liberal but a much classier and thoughtful man.

It surprises me that in 2005 Chuck Hagel scored higher than Rick Santorum. It surprises me that in 2005 Rick Santorum and Kay Bailey Hutchison were tied. It surprises me that John Kerry registered anything at all.

Well Chaffee who was flung out the door (by both sides mind you), had to chime in and say that he'll do what ever possible from not confirming Bolton. He's a loser in my book.

Me too! Hagel was a real surprise to me, after all the bashing he gets here. I am not fond of him, but he's obviously voting correctly most of the time.

He's a loser in every book -- and now it's official.
He'll be GONE!

No, he wasn't. He also wasn't Sheldon Whitehouse.

He's not worthy of praise, but you don't get much more than Chafee/Collins/Snowe/Specter in that area of the country.

Santorum got completely railed in PA...very rare for an incumbent not in a scandal.

Chafee held up Bolton's vote. Unforgivable.

In 2005 out of 12 members of the Congress from MA the member with the second-most Conservative rating was John Francois Kerry with an 8!!!

Out of 12 members only ONE has a lifetime rating in double digits!!

The only member of the Republican Party in the Senate who can fairly be called a RINO is Chafee. All the rest rank much better than any of the 'Rats.

To be fair and accurate, these ratings show that John McCain can be classified as a conservative. What the ratings don't show is that he is a backstabbing weasel who wrecked our chance to deploy the nucular option forever and convinced DeWine to commit political suicide.

I agree with your every word.

I looked closely at the lifetime ratings and only Ben Nelson (D) bested Chafee who was our worst.

McCain "convinced DeWine to commit political suicide."

It wasn't a hard sell.

Actually, there is one other name on the list who is a better candidate for RINO than Chafee.

This thread had inspired me to write a vanity on the election.

Thanks for the list. I now remember what REALLY riled me these past two years.

Somebody had to pay for this loss, and I know who.

"The ULTIMATE RINO".
