Hi fr_freak ... I think FReeper HiJinx can help us out with info on sending Christmas care packages to some of the troops, so please send HiJinx a FReepmail for details!

Yep, don't piss off a fricking P.O'd Marine. I nearly got relieved from my position as Patrol Leader (I'm Army now and former Marine) for telling my rear gunner that if a vehicle closes in on any of our vehicles without stopping to "open up". The OIC said the gunners all have to go through the "4 S's" first. It was unbelievable!
The iraqies are POS that aren't worthy of our support.
Let it be known the troops nearly to a man say we shouldn't be here, but you talk to them and they say we should be here . Yes, we are pissed the Dems one, minus a Squid attached to my unit, but he is ok as he is a sharp troop (even for an officer ))

why didn't the brass think of this first? Brass are the big picture guys.
Using Silly string is the creativity on the "small picture" guys.
The test will be how fast the "big picture" guys get the "small picture" guys silly string.
I'm not holding my breath
My guess is we will have a $100 million project in the works by 2010.

The iraqies are POS that aren't worthy of our support. That may be true, but after all the real reason we are there is not to support per say the "Iraqis", they could be Eskimos, it's about strategic geopolitical long term security.
I just wish we would quit pussy footing around and out this thing to rest

Smart, but I don't know if I necessarily like the fact that this is getting out and about.
If the terrorists read this story, they'll change their method.

How can they change their methods? They still have to have wires in order to detonate.

What a great idea!
I hope she collects a ton!
Shipping aerosols can be a pain, though.

From the article:
And he wants more. Shes gathered two cases of the string so far, and $140 to help in shipping. She needs more of both.
Donations are being taken at St. Lukes Church in Stratford, NJ, and at Our Lady of Grace in Somerdale.
