No way would I reward McPain-in-the-a$$ by voting for him. If it were between him & Hillary - we would deserve to get Her Hindness.

Some one will step up to the plate. Who of us had even heard of GW Bush before 1999? Not many of us.

McCain is facing a greater challenge than anything political - his own mortality. Even though he's declaring his candidacy for President he knows he is gravely ill and just wants to go down fighting. Anyone who compares his state of health to just 1 year ago can see his is markedly declining.

I have this fear that Soros is playing "good cop, bad cop" on us. I'll wager he'd take either Hitlary or McCain, and won't mind if us diehard "anybody but Hitlary" voters end up backing McCain as the only alternative sure to beat her.

You've noticed McCain is a evil, turncoat and egomaniac JUST NOW?

I knew it in 2000 when I supported GWB.

Point is, what consequences had HE suffered? His own ally DeWine is gone. Bush is damaged. The Iraq war will suffer. But him? He's out there putting together a committee for President.

If he shows his face here in Cincinnati I'm going to Freep his sorry ass. He's skated by while causing disasters to his supposed friends -- like the Republican version of Bill Clinton.

Agreed - McCain's health does not seem up to a 2008 Presential run, and it seems to be declining.

MSM will take care of McCain.. especially if he is up against Hillary. If these two turns out to be our only choice.. I'm voting Liberterian.

Save your efforts. John McCain will self-destruct all on his own.

He has a history of it.

Shot down twice, had one plane blown out from under him while he was sitting on the flight deck. It's absolutely dangerous to be within 10 feet of the man, really.

Nope, left to his own devices SOMETHING around John McCain is bound to go "BOOM!" eventually.

Hopefully, it's the "Straight Talk Express" this time.

I don't think we can blame McLame for everything.

Neither do I. But the Gang of 14 was a surrender for no reason. McCain is a weasel. I'd trust Bill Clinton before I would trust that weasel.

McCain has to pay for his Gang of 14.

Looking back over the past year and a half at the "accomplishments" of the Republican congress such as the Schiavo debacle, the inane attempts to amend our Constitution for completely meaningless issues, the corruption, the House action to force the President to cancel the Dubai Port deal (which would have added substantial security), the withheld nominations of the President for social issues like abortion stances, and the debacle of all debacles, the refusal of the House to meet in conference and construct a reasonable immigration package, it seems that the only meaningful accomplishment was the confirmation of a host of judges and 2 USSC justices....the work of the infamous Gang of 14.

"But the Gang of 14 was a surrender for no reason."

You forgot "Campaign Finance Reform" which was three lies for the price of one, and which equates to tenure for elected officials. Biggest asault on Free Speech since the British banned assemblies in the Intolerable Acts.

Why is it no one seems to remeber this often enough?

The ACU ratings aren't necessarily a gauge of conservatism, I mean, McCain and Graham both got 80 or above.

McCain is a mole, not a rino. I don't think he EVER was a republican to begin with. I will not vote for that scum unless he is the only choice besides Hillary.
