Someone correct me if I'm wrong (and I know you will), but I think these ratings are based on the way the critter voted vs. x amount of bills. For instance, if McCain voted on 10 bills, and voted "conservative" on 9 of them, but voted "liberal" on McCain-Feingold, he would receive a 90 rating, even though he did big Constitutional damage to free speech.
MSM loves McCain thats enough for me to not vote for him, I have enough against him already but thats added fuel.

And that's why I really don't see McCain winning the Rep nomination. But nevertheless, I disagree 100% with those of you that 'think' that not voting at all, voting for a 3rd Party, or voting for a DemRat (all the same thing) is a viable option.
It's not just MY life and my family's lives that are at stake here. I'st also YOURS and the lives of YOUR family that will be put in jeopardy if this 'attitude or mentality' continues.
