Global War On Terror: If the Democrats are not going to cut and run from Iraq, why are they seeking advice and counsel from the man who helped them cut South Vietnam off at the knees?

The Democrats seem to have a fondness for party leaders and presidents whose policies and positions, when followed, result in the expansion of tyranny, the subjugation and even death of millions, and added threats to U.S. safety and security....

Jimmy Carter’s liberal naivete helped oust a staunch ally, the Shah of Iran...

Carter was Bill Clinton’s legman in repeated attempts to bribe North Korea....which was willing to let millions of its people starve, not to develop a nuclear weapon or the missiles to deliver them.

But the patron saint of Democratic appeasers is former South Dakota Sen. George McGovern, whose 1972 presidential campaign completed the Democratic transformation from the party of FDR, Harry Truman and Henry “Scoop” Jackson to the party of Neville Chamberlain.

Well, he’s baaack.

In a speech Thursday at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, the doyen of doves opined: “I think the Democratic leadership is wise enough to know that if we’re going to follow the message the election sent, they’re going to have to take steps to bring the war to a conclusion....”

"...Bush said: “One way for the American people to understand what Iraq would look like is what Afghanistan looked like under the Taliban . . . a place where women were taken into the public square and beaten if they did not adhere to the strict, intolerant guidelines of the Taliban, a place where thousands trained to attack America and our allies.”

Once again the Democrats want to give appeasement a chance.

So much for everyone saying that there's no way the Dems will try to get us out of Iraq...

Can the Democrats Govern?

No, but in the tradition of their God, Bill Clinton, they are adept in the art of 'kicking the can down the road' to buy time until an adult comes along to clean up their mess.

They will try to undermine the troops, but this will destroy the dems. I'm glad the libs are trying this right out of the box. They don't know just how pissed off the public will be when they realize what this truly means for the US. And they won't get away with it.
