Exposed: The Extremist Agenda w/Glenn Beck

Posted on 11/13/2006 12:17:41 PM PST by albie

This special is to run November 15, 7 & 9 pm on "Headline News". I believe that the worst part of this whole election nightmare has been the DBM. The past week has been one big love affair with the libs and the DBM. Not one controversy, "Perfectville". Glenn Beck is a breath of fresh air! He's able to get his conservative point across AND do it on lib TV! You'll never see Rush getting an opportunity like Glenn is getting. In the scope of things it's a small victory, but Glenn Beck just could be the guy that helps us in 2008, just as Rush helped in 1994. The MSM has got to figure out a way to build their numbers. Old people are dying everyday and that's all they have left. Beck is young, cool, well-spoken and doesn't do all the name calling that Rush is known for. Glenn isn't "too conservative".

The point is, the only way conservatives are going to stop a 2008 calamity of Hillary as POTUS is with the media. More than Rush, more than Sean. Exposure in the MSM. Glenn's the guy. I've read dozen's of hand-wringing posts on socialist medicine, tax increases, far left nut job ideas that the dems simply cannot attempt before 2008. They ran on a semi "blue dog democrat" podium and would destroy themselves if they jump into the socialist agenda they have too soon. Bush still has veto power and the Pubs still have a voice. The Constitution allows for a 2 party system and checks and balances. The panic I've seen over this past week has been remarkable. Relax. There's 2 years for conservatives to get the act back together and for the internet to become even more of a single news source. The MSM is dying. Guys like Glenn Beck is their only hope.

I switched over to Beck on CNN because I couldn't stomach Shephard Smith on Fox, who does the news at that hour. Beck is comesee..comesa..really don't know what to make of him. Time will tell I am sure...would like to hear from some of the other bloggers..

...maybe so. When's the last time you had a conversation with a 25 year old? That's a large part of Glenn's audience. I'm 48, drink martinis, and would like the entire world to look like Leave it to Beaver. That ain't gonna win elections. Conservatives need a guy like Beck.

I like Glenn. He did a whole series of rallies for America and I attended one here in VA. Sometime he grates a little but he is genuine and sincere. What I don't like about him is his "Democrats are no different than Republicans" silliness. One has to be absolutely brain dead not to know the differences between the parties even though the lines have blurred some on some issues. It is true both parties share well in guilt where corruption is concerned but when comparing spending, taxes, and social policy there is no comparison except for those who score low in the area of comprehension. All one has to do is compare the voting records something which is very easy to do online to see where the differences are. The Democrats alone proposed 400% more in ear marks over the past few years than their Republican counterparts. They tried to role back the work requirements for Welfare reform and have not missed an opportunity to slander and libel our military. Don't let the self styled ignorant curmudgeon get away with they are all the same. Yes they are all the same if you are retarded or blind and disabled. Even there it is clear that one party would have no qualms about killing off the less capable and disabled while supposedly fighting for the rights of the disabled.

It amazes me the level of hypocrisy the left gets away with. Do people really think they are more likely to fix health care? Does anyone believe that health care will be more affordable and of higher quality if it is turned over to government bureaucracy to run? Does anyone believe that raising the minimum wage is a solution to any poor or lower middle class individuals woes? The left is built on a belief in sunshine and lollipops for all if we only have more abortions, gay marriage, high taxes for the rich, and universal government run health care. The Republicans are certainly less than perfect but the left has no redeeming values.

I first caught Glenn's show about 3 months ago and haven't missed since. He's exactly what we need on the airwaves these days.

"he appears to be a walking cliché generator."

Beck rules. He's not a Bushbot (i.e. Rush). He's not a self promoter (i.e. Hannity). He's not a loon (i.e. Savage). And he's not an arrogant fair weather "conservative" (i.e. O'Reilly). He's original and tells it like it is. I hate helping the Commie News Network's ratings, but he beats the heck out of Faux News.

We watch Beck at 7...better than Shep. He's funny, I usually end up laughing out loud at one of his schticks, but I will say when it comes to Islamic extremism...there's nobody...I'll say it again NOBODY... on network TV that confronts it like Beck.

I decided to listen to beck after Phil Hendrie left my city's station.

When it comes to satire radio, Phil Hendrie beats Savage everytime.

Beck is good though, for the type of show he does.
