Does this mean that if we could deport all the illegals, we would all be rich?

"And people were SO pissed off about this they ran to the polls and fired the ONLY people in DC, the US House Republican, who were serious about Border Security."
As I have said to you in previous posts, MANY people are very angry about nothing being done to stop invaders from wrecking their towns and taking jobs away from them.
I agree that voting for Dems is an irrational response if this is your number one issue, but angry, fearful people are often NOT RATIONAL and just want to strike out at those offending them.
Like Susie said, it was entirely predictable!
Why GWB and the Senate are so damn politically tone deaf escapes me. (Although I believe I have a clue)
Forget about Iraq and spending. Given the number of people adversely affected by illegal immigration, this issue alone had the potential to bring down the Rep majority.
If you spit in someones face, don't be surprised when they kick your ass.
Before you ask, I voted straight GOP as I always do.

"Sadly, until they start building colonias in non border states, the rest of the nation will remain ignorant to this."
Hell, I live in central Indiana and there are so many illegals here it is astonishing. "Tienda Mexicana's" on every other street corner.
I expect to turn on my local AM station and hear Mariachi music any day now.
I was in my old stomping grounds of Raleigh, NC last week, and there are at least 3 all Spanish radio stations that were not there when I left 12 years ago.

Well, I hope it doesn't take that long to disinfect the party. Frankly, I don't think the nation
has that long. Iran, North Korea, the Muslim world, the Chicoms, and legions of illegal scumbag alien invaders are all circling like vultures sensing a dying animal. Heck, we might even rip ourselves apart from within before the "process" has time to work itself out.
If anything's to be done, now's the time to do it.

The National Academy of Sciences has estimated that each immigrant without a high school degree will cost U.S. taxpayers, on average, $89,000 over the course of his or her lifetime.[3] This is a net cost above the value of any taxes the immigrant will pay and does not include the cost of educating the immigrants children, which U.S. taxpayers would also heavily subsidize.
In this way, the roughly six million legal immigrants without a high school diploma will impose a net cost of around a half-trillion dollars on U.S. taxpayers over their lifetimes.
Hey Dane--some more inconvenient facts for you.
Are you still in love with illegal aliens?
