Just to point out, that's TWICE the amount AFA went beserk over Ford offering in their coupon-donation program on Jags and Volvos...
I read 'The Dollar Stretcher' faithfully, and Gary has published a few of my articles on saving money and pinching a penny 'til it squeaks. :)
I did not know taxpayers funded abortions. Is this thru welfare? How terrible!
The only way I can deal with that, or any tax I find going to sinful things, is to remember that the Government takes from my check, what they see belongs to them. In this case it is "Give unto Caesar what is Caesars". What Caesar does with what is his (after removing it from my hand), is what Ceaser will answer for. In this case, the officials who pushed the funding thru or had any part of stealing this earmarked allotment from taxpayers.
We are commanded to respect our worldly leaders (Kings)and to obey the laws set forth by man. As a Republic, We can work to change the laws within the governing body, vote against tax-funded abortions, etc, do the works we are led to do to change peoples hearts. But we are not responsible for those who do wickedness with tax dollars.
I well remember that the first executive order signed by Bill Clinton was to order military hospitals to perform abortions. The very first one. If I didn't already know the evilness of that man, I knew it then.
Military hospitals are 100% tax payer funded.
Does Planned Parenthood receive tax funds? Do you donate to the United Fund? The U.F. supports Planned Parenthood.
We shun evil all we can but we do live in the midst of it.
I can't answer the question about welfare providing abortions, I don't know.
Yep - much ado... OR NOT...
Wal-Mart has gone on record that they are an advocate for the homosexual agenda. In the Out & Equal 2006 Workplace Summit Program Guide, Wal-Mart placed a full-page ad which explicitly stated that it would be an advocate for the homosexual movement. Keep in mind this ad was developed for the homosexual conference and aimed at participating homosexual groups.
Not only did Wal-Mart place the ad in the program guide, they also gave $60,000 to Out & Equal, a homosexual organization pushing the same-sex agenda, including same-sex marriage, in the workplace. Out & Equal served as conference host and the donation went to help sponsor the Out & Equal Workplace Summit held this past September in Chicago.
The purpose of the conference was to train homosexuals to convince the companies for which they work to support the homosexual agenda and to encourage other companies to do the same.
At the conference, Pride, Wal-Mart's in-house homosexual group, presented a PowerPoint presentation detailing how they were successful in getting Wal-Mart to support the homosexual agenda. The PowerPoint presentation, telling Pride's story, contains 51 frames. Each page of the presentation contains the line "Confidential Wal-Mart Stores, Inc." It was used to encourage conference participants to follow Pride's example in the companies for which they work.

Nonsense. There are plenty of evangelical Christian groups that don't engage in irrational campaigns that clearly hinder their own stated goals. The AFA doesn't happen to be one of them.
Well, to be fair, it wasn't his first executive order (that was on ethics committments by presidential branch appointees), nor was it actually considered an executive order (it was a memoranda, but that's just nit picking).
And it did require the abortion services to be paid for by non-DOD funds.
Taxpayer money.
These passive thoughts are what is wrong with society today. People say who cares and avoids the priciple of it all and that is why society has gone to hell in the last 40 plus years.
Military hospitals are 100% tax payer funded.

I don't think planned parenthood is taxpayer funded, but it should be checked out. I seem to remember some leftists trying to get President Bush to have abortions added to welfare, it did not happen as far as I know.
I have not given to the United Way, or anything that says United, since I found out about 10 years ago that they were part of the U.N. - funny how it did not compute before then
There are a few charities I no longer support after finding leftists affiliations, my local food bank, quit supporting church food drives a few years back, I found out they were part of "Americas Second Harvest" and have been responsible for quite a few lost donations since then.
And yes, we should shun evil as much as we can, avoid it when we know it, for sure.
