Protesters storm Wal-Mart in Mexico City **Code Pink Alert**
Associated Press ^ | KATHLEEN MILLER

MEXICO CITY - Demonstrators stormed a Wal-Mart on the outskirts of Mexico City on Tuesday, accusing the U.S.-based retailer of selling low-cost goods at the expense of workers, farmers and public markets.

About 250 protesters chanted "Out! Out!" in front of Wal-Mart's corporate headquarters before entering the adjacent store, where they blocked aisles for about 30 minutes before leaving. There were no immediate reports of arrests, injuries or damage.

Ruben Garcia, a Mexican citizen who works with San Francisco-based activist group Global Exchange, said the discount chain's low prices take business away from the country's traditional public markets and depress wages for workers and farmers.

Global Exchange is a professional treason group that's in the pocket of Hugo Chavez and every terrorist group known to man. Its founder, Medea Benjamin, is also the founder of Code Pink. Now they are targetting Walmart in Mexico, whose "Walmart Mexicans" voter group elected President Calderon.

What nobody sees is Wal-Mart's supporters. That's because they're inside the store shopping, instead of protesting. Perhaps the AP would care to take a gander in Wal-Mart stores and see how brisk the business is.

" ...accusing the U.S.-based retailer of selling low-cost goods at the expense of workers, farmers and public markets."

Hmm. Well, then Walmart should raise all prices 500%. Will the goods then be expensive enough so as not to exploit the workers?

Ahh so incredible. Whats sad is this is coming to us courtsey of all the politicans that aggressively courting the anti walmart groups in the USA.

I was in Laredo once and it was something to see. There seemed to be a continious line form the border to Wlamart and back. That one Wal Mart prob increased the spending power of the Mexicans in the adjacent town more than anything.

I suspect "they" are terrified that Wal Mart would be a success down there which it is destined to be.

Just following the socialist/Islamist agendas. Not mad at all, they know exactly what they are doing.

WalMart is one of the big reasons Mexicans emigrate to the U.S. Mexico, a democracy (not perfect, but what democracy is) and a relatively friendly neighbor, and a member of the same trading bloc as the U.S. can also manufacture cheap clothing, electronics, household appliances, etc. (and does). But, to save a few cents on the dollar, we give "Most Favored Nation" status to the repressive communist dictatorship of the Peoples' Republic of China, where workers have no rights... except to shut up and not be shot.

SO... where are we buying our goods, and where are there out of work, or underpaid, workers. Right next door.

For people that scream "freedom of choice", these idiots don't want anyone to have it! If they want to go to the plaza...go ahead! But don't try to stop anyone from having the choice of shopping at Walmart!

Code Pink's Medea Benjamin is a Zapatista Groupie too. She's a nymphomarxist. Really, any armed Marxist will do. If it's got a Red Star and a gun, she's gotta have it.

She's inteviewed "Delegate Zero" a/k/a "Subcommandante Marcos" of the ELZN a/k/a the Zapatistas. From a paper "Zapatistas: The Wait for Justice" here's a quote about our little Gomez's revolutionary

The indigenous people cried to prevent the passage of NAFTA, but without a voice went unheard and after NAFTA was passed the EZLN had to mobilize and proclaim to the world the injustice of NAFTA. In an interview with Medea Benjamin, El Subcommandante Marcos states, “NAFTA is a death sentence for the indigenous people. NAFTA sets up competition among farmers, but how can our campesinos – who are mostly illiterate – compete with the U.S. and Canadian farmers?”
Stand by for Code Pink to play a bigger role in this conflict. At least one of Code Pink's leaders was responsible for funneling large amounts of aid that made it possible for the FLMN to kill people.

Medea Benjamin

is a freedom-hating communist, and that's the nicest thing I can say about her.

Oh, I LIVED this kind of doo-doo... long time ago... yes, the leftist demonstrators, there were 'yuts' back then too.

Where I am from, they managed to drive OUT all US businesses that lifted the economy.

Now (and I just visited after 30 years!!!), the place has the same pot holes it had in 1970, just deeper and larger. There is no work. There is more corruption. People don't smile. Local industry is pick-pocketing.

Got to love it, but we know why they export their criminals, they got too many!

Mrs Gomez spent 5 years in Cuba, was married to the National Basketball Team coach and worked for one of Castro's state run newspapers.

Until she got "Too Commie for Castro" in an article and Fidel exiled her.

There is always unemployment everywhere, but that isn't the reason Mexicans come here. Nor is it because they are "underpaid". If they would get skills they would make more money. Workers have the choice of taking a job for what is being offered, or not. One of the biggest myths is that there aren't enough jobs in Mexico. It is the quality of life that drives these people north. They can have things here like great cars that they can't back home. And once here, they are unlikely to return, because they would lose that standard of living. They are also romanticizing the home country. I was born in Maryland, but have no fondness for it. And if American had treated me as poorly as Mexico has its citizens, I wouldn't be such an ardent supporter.

I'm sure the Mexican Embassy will be glad to hear about their citizen's ties to the ELZN.

"El Subcommandante Marcos states, “NAFTA is a death sentence for the indigenous people. NAFTA sets up competition among farmers, but how can our campesinos – who are mostly illiterate – compete with the U.S. and Canadian farmers?”"

How about getting an education instead of being victicrats?

Oh isn't this precious. Well, they're just doing the protesting in Mexico as practice for when they storm across the border protesting the lousy conditions of doing the protesting jobs that Americans won't do ....
