Olbermann Links Domestic Terrorism to 'Right Wing Blogs,' Malkin, Ingraham, Coulter

On Tuesday's Countdown, MSNBC host Keith Olbermann devoted an entire segment (video available on Countdown Web site) to discussing links between a man arrested for domestic terrorism and "far right-wing blogs," describing the man as a "gushing online admirer" of conservative commentators Michelle Malkin, Laura Igraham, and Ann Coulter, as the Countdown host suggested conservatives had inspired the man to commit terrorism. Olbermann also compared past actions by Malkin (see Malkin's blog for details) to "the King Henry thing about Thomas Becket." Olbermann: "There were the students at the University of California in Santa Cruz who protested military recruiters on their campus, Malkin posted their addresses and other personal information on her blog, and then when people harassed the students at their homes, Malkin did the King Henry thing about Thomas Becket, 'Who will rid me of this meddlesome priest?' 'I never told anybody to do anything to them.' This is the problem, right? I mean, you can come out, you can directly encourage people to act violently, Ann Coulter has done that, or you can do it in this sort of thinly disguised way the way Malkin has."

Olbermann was PISSED that he couldn't snort the powder.
It wasn't harassment, it was teasing. Like waving an empty beer can at a drunk.
The first thing Olbermann grabbed was not a phone to call 911, but a 100 dollar bill to roll up...

He's hoping to be noticed. He's looking for free advertisement. Sort of like what Savage does attacking those who have a much larger audience. You probably have noticed his latest rants are against Rush but Rush never falls for it. You never hear Savage's name mentioned on Rush's show but you hear Rush mention Dan Rather, Chris Matthews and many many other critics but Rush can know the difference. Savage is an AM Radio Carpetbagger hoping Rush will mention his name so a few million more will tune into him out of curiousity. This Oberman guy is doing the same.

And everyone else laughs at Savage--he has ratings but so does The View.

To: Liberty Valance
Chad Castagana - I saw this story on AOL. AOL had pictures of Nancy Pelosi, John Stewart, and David Letterman claiming that they were the recipients of letters that contained white powder. (The remaining slides in the presentation were shorts about the anthrax scare in 2001.)
Interestingly, there was NO source for the story except a reference to Los Angeles. I tried to look up the story in LA newspapers - NOTHING. Also, NOTHING on Drudge or any of the wire services. So, I am now assuming that the source was MSNBC's Keith Olbermann based on this cross reference that you provided.
The story on AOL only lasted an hour...

I wonder if Olbermann meant that the FBI could have been monitoring overseas calls to the US by Al Qaeda members? Or maybe tracing Al Qaeda financial transactions? Aggressively interrogating terrorists?
All of which, the leftist fanatics like Olbermann, are against.

The man is so incompetent in his field he can't even properly read and source a press release sent directly to his employer over the newswires. He has so little oversight he can then go on air and not a single editor or producer knows enough of standard PR industry business practices to censor their babbling head before he goes on air and commits libel.
Too dumb to know he's stupid.

While never watching the program, an occasional promo will pop up from time to time. Olbermann appears to be in need of a strong laxative as he has a constant look of constipation on his face, with an occasional wince from unexpelled gas.

Does that include the few of us who want the authorities (local, state, federal LE and DoD) to do the threatening and harassing of domestic enemies?

I don't care about hurting people's feelings. That's not illegal. And sometimes it may be a good thing.
I care about FReepers doing illegal things--like sending threats via the U.S. Postal Service. And I agree with you--if any FReeper has such tendencies, they should first, get banned from FR, and then turn themselves in to the authorities.

Countdown To No Ratings with Keith Olbermann.
''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
Olbermann's ratings are increasing. He is over 1 million viewers last week. Up from the mere 300 thousands before summer. The guy is not nuts. He knows the audience he wants to cultivate and is starting to get traction. Conservatives reacting to his intentionally flagrant lies only fuels his interest level. He's after the most popular conservative blogs because to attack them and get notoriety for it means ratings. the guy is a dangerous liar.
To: JerseyHighlander
