Tuesday night by a vote of 4-2, the San Francisco Board of Ed banned Junior ROTC training in seven city high schools, throwing 1,600 students out of those clubs. This is a direct insult to the U.S. military and violates the civil rights, I believe, of the ROTC students. The federal government should immediately suspend all federal aid to San Francisco schools.

There's no reason to ban JROTC. Nobody's required to join it. And if a student with parental approval wants to investigate a career in the military, every American school should encourage that.

Obviously, the military is protecting us from terrorists, North Korea and other dangerous people. But those who believe in San Francisco values don't see it that way. They think the military is bad, the don't ask, don't tell policy evil.

I delivered the SF Comical as a kid, and I read the paper everday before my rounds. This one incident truly stood out as a slap in the face of every veteran in the US, regardless of branch. This is one of those moments that solidified my beliefs that SF is screwed up, and I am NOT nuts, but THEY are!

"Don't ask, don't tell" is a policy established by the US Congress. It is carried out by the US military. "Gay rights" is just being used as an excuse for Commies to weaken America.

where in the heck are they Some of us are here on FR. We are just not too noisy, we have little to no chance of changing the direction of the "progressives". Also keep in mind these people are not brain dead - I know lots of folks here like to slam San Francisco and lord knows my neighbors do their part to validate that but these people have a different view on life than people here do. The point of view here is very much like the DUers feel, we don't like their ideals so lets make fun and denigrate them all.
