WINSTON-SALEM -- An 11-year-old student at Jefferson Middle School brought a BB gun to school and fired it at another student on Thursday in a dispute over money, police stated today.
Nobody was injured. The incident occurred about 12:20 p.m.
School personnel detained the juvenile until police arrived. A secure custody order was issued and served on the juvenile, and he was placed in the Forsyth County Juvenile Detention Center.
Guido in training?
Did he shoot his eye out?
Impossible...Schools have been declared gun-free zones.
Daisy or Crossman?
I'm still trying to understand the mindset that would allow a child with these unrestrained impulses to have a BB gun.
Ha. A reasonably sharp butter knife (or well thrown rock) can do more harm than a bb gun.
It's probably more dangerous than a plastic spork though.
In before Ralphie pic
Don't want to make light of this because a kid should not bring a BB gun to school.
However, there was a story a few days ago about a .22 bullet that was found on the ground at the entrance to a shop in Britain. There was a surprisingly long article about it in the paper. It caused quite a stir. They called the police, who removed the bullet, and then performed a lab exam on it just in case it might someday be needed (for what only God knows).
I wonder what the Brits would have said if a BB had been found on the ground?
We all survived, and we all still have both of our eyes.
Never thought of using my Daisy to settle an argument, though. We just didn't think like that back in the day.
"I wonder what the Brits would have said if a BB had been found on the ground?"
Wet themselves.
I LOVE the Ralphie pics.
Is this the most pressing local news that the Greensboro News-Record staff could find to print?
"Fire" a BB gun? I didn't know BB guns used gunpowder....
Why didn't he just punch the kid's cell phone that owed him money?
Didn't you know that anything that resembles violence in the real world is terrible. JUST TERRIBLE!! However, all the promotion of sexual innuendo and violence courtesy of the MSM, Hollyweirdd, and the PS3, Nintendo game economy is completely acceptable, because it's just make-believe and it baby sits the kids.
Speaking of Video games, I saw the future of America camping out last night for the new thig-a-ma-gig. The future doesnt look good. WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE!
A friend of mine were laughing about that very thing this morning. You'd think those folks ahve a real job that are camping out in line? Guess they have the same kind of jobs as Breck Boy? You know, show up when you feel like working at the US Senate for the people that entrusted you to be productive.
Headline- "Student fires BB gun at middle school"
Is the school okay? Was it a hit? Or was it a miss?
I wonder if it was a Co2 pellet pistol. One of those could be nasty up close...
Call the SWAT team...
Jeeze..whatever happened to walking up and jerking the damn thing out of his hand and jackslapping him for God's sake??
I was reading a columnist on line who asked about these dudes..
"Don't they have jobs? How are they going to buy these games if they are taking off work for three days?"
"Have any of these boys ever seen a naked woman??"
I won't expand on that one too much.
Forgive me, but chasing a new box was always much more fun than waiting on one.
"Forgive me, but chasing a new box was always much more fun than waiting on one."
LOL! Good one.
I'm a Daisy man myself.
If they outlaw BB guns, only outlaws will have BB guns.
And the West wasn't won with a registered BB gun.
Same here, we soon added eye protection. We also had fruit trees by the hundreds so the older boys used green oranges and we had the BB guns with about ten on each team. Lots of fun! Lucky for us no one lost an eye.
Ralphie don't take no crap off nobody.
Assault weapon
Did he hit the school at which he was aiming? This lack of marksmanship skills in today's schoolchildren is deplorable.
