Pick a finger.
You need to step away from your computer until you calm down. Please leave me alone.
I am perfectly calm. I just don't suffer fools.
Admitting to nursing to put a child to sleep doesn't mean anything. Surely most passengers would prefer the child to not cry.
She stated she was being discreet, her breast was covered, and it wasn't other passengers complaining, but the flight attendant.
Certainly no one could expect you to understand that many women cannot use a breast pump - that would be too much to ask of you.
Women breastfeed in public all the time and do so discreetly without exposing a thing.
Sorry, we can feed our babies as we choose-not all women can pump. Avert your eyes. Don't look and you won't see...no problem!
please see post #459
Having sex is not the same thing as feeding a baby-Obviously, regardless of what you think, this woman received a formal apology, a hotel room, new airline tickets and the Flight attendent was disciplined. I'd say you better learn to myob (mind your own business) and avert your eyes in this situation!
Which is missing the point. If we should, in your words--learn to myob (mind your own business) and avert your eyes in this situation then why not avert our eyes when two people are having sex on a plane? Or how about a man beating a woman to death on a plane? Or, hell, how about those passengers on United Flight 93? Do you think they should have averted their eyes while those bastrads flew their plane into the Capitol?
Where do you draw the line? Why is it okay for a woman to whip out a boob in front of everybody but it is not okay to do any of the things I just mentioned?
Don't tell me when someone puts something in my face that I should mind my own business. It is my business. I have rights, too.
regardless of what you think
Regardless of what you think, the fact of the matter is this woman was asked by the flight attendant to use discretion, which was not in any way, shape, matter or form unreasonable or unacceptable. That woman created the situation when she refused that request.
Me, I think the flight attendant should be suing the airline by allowing this woman to create a hostile work environment and fostering it through their actions.
She had a right to feed her baby. I would not cover my childs face either. I think the attendent was looking for trouble as they often are these days. The airline apparently agreed because the flight attendent is being disciplined.
And the flight attendant had the right to ask the woman to use discretion.
I would not cover my childs face either.
Then be prepared to be asked to leave as this woman was.
I think the attendent was looking for trouble
Yeah, the flight attendant was looking for trouble by asking a woman who was breast feeding out in the open to use some discretion. You must have some form of intellectual dyslexia.
Have you flown lately? some of those flight attendents are nasty, officious people. A woman has the right to feed her baby. The flight attendent did not have the right to interfere which is why the family got an apology and the flight attendent was disciplined-probably sent home with no pay.
You may not gree with this outcome. But apparently, the flight attendent acted inappropriately -regardless of what you think. I think a woman has the right to feed her baby period. If it disturbs you then don't look...simple really.
Link?
LOL. A militant agenda? Yeah, sure: let us breastfeed whenever we want or we'll attack you with our large and dangerous breasts. More LOL.
A business owner has rights, too, and you can bitch and moan all about how your "rights" trumps theirs as you are being escorted from the building, probably to jail for disorderly conduct (which is what I would do to you if you pulled that stunt in my establishment).
You don't like that? Too bad.
