The Vehicle Assmbly Building at the Kennedy Space Center. It assembeled the rockets, which were as big as the statue of liberty, that went to the moon.

I was not impressed by the Eiffel Tower- IMNSHO the best bit of architecture in the Paris area is the Grande Arche in la Défense.

Not one American creation is on this list. Huston Astrodome, Sears tower, Empire State Building, Golden Gate Bridge...

And what about the Panama Canal? Yeah, I know it's in Panama. But who built it? And if you've ever made a complete trip through it, you could not doubt it's an engineering marvel. I've been through it roughly sixty times.

The U.S. in itself ought to be a wonder of the world. There has been no other nation like us before, and God willing, there will be many more like us to follow.

I kinda like the way you think.

All of them are impressive, as is the arch, but only the Empire State qualifies in my eyes and it wouldn't be a strong contender in the light of the other foreign entries. Mind you, Rushmore certainly deserves to be in there as a strong claimant for the position.

The Mixing Bowl in Springfield, Virginia...carries local and regional traffic in a densely populated metro area in addition to most traffic going up and down the East Coast (some traffic goes along I-81 in the Blue Ridge).

"Their final visit will be March 6 to New York's Statue of Liberty. "

Personally, I think the old girl's torch should be replaced with a STOP sign.

I think the Hoover Dam might qualify.

(Plus it adds a hydro plant to every city on the continent, greatly increasing our production rate.)
