Hamas 'very satisfied' with fleeing Jews

Terror leader says rocket attacks at Israeli towns to intensify

Hamas is "very satisfied" with reports here some Israelis in communities near the Gaza Strip are ready to flee their rocket-plagued towns while students reportedly have been skipping school for fear of being caught in regular Palestinian attacks, a senior leader of Hamas' military wing told WND in an interview yesterday.

"The importance of what is happening in Sderot proves to the Palestinians, especially those who say rockets bring no results, that rocket attacks do bring big benefits," said Abu Abdullah, who is considered one of the most important operational members of Hamas' Izz al-Din al-Qassam Martyrs Brigades, Hamas' declared military wing.

"We promise we will keep hitting them because this process (of launching rockets at Jewish communities) is starting to bring results. We are working to improve our rockets to hit further and cause more Jews to evacuate," said the terror leader, speaking to WND from Gaza.

'Our attacks will soon oblige Israelis to evacuate'

Hamas' Abu Abdullah told WND his group and other terror organizations are working to step up rocket attacks and target further inside Israel.

"Our goal is to evacuate neighborhoods in Sderot and Ashkelon," he said. "I am sure in next months it will not only be Ashkelon but also Ashdod (a major Israeli port city about 20 miles from Gaza) that will be our target."

Referring to a previous plan by the Israeli Defense Forces to use artillery units to create a civilian-free "sterile zone" in the northern Gaza areas most frequently used to launch attacks, Abu Abdullah said Palestinian rockets "will soon oblige Israelis to make their own sterile zones and evacuate their people."

The terror leader scoffed at pinpoint Israeli operations carried out the last few months in the northern Gaza Strip aimed at stopping rocket attacks.

"Even if they kill hundreds of our fighters, there is no way (the Israelis) can stop our attacks. While Israel was acting all over in Beit Hanoun, we shot many rockets from Beit Hanoun using new techniques of shooting I will not tell you about."

My suggestion is to cut a buffer zone out of the arab side of the line, half a kilometer every time a rocket clears the fence.

Innocent property owners should be compensated for their property, and the structures bulldozed. It is the only thing that will get their attention; a price has to be paid in land in response to every attack.

They are quite open about their intentions, which are to drive Israelis out of the border regions. So far "land for peace" has been a one-way ratchet set the wrong way. "Land for peace" is the proper solution, to be sure, but with the ratchet reversed. Every attack must result in a permanent loss of arab land, every time.

Peace will mean, then, no further loss of land to the arabs. Until now "land for peace" has meant the exact opposite of the apparent meaning of the words; arab violence has won them concession after concession. The formula is not wrong, its just reversed. Switch the wiring and it will work perfectly.

The Orgs would lose money from lefty donators if they complained too much about anti-Israel or anti-American attacks.

The ONLY thing the "new" UN Human Rights Council has done in its months of existence is pass resolutions condemning Israel. Not a single human rights abuse in the world has been addressed. It's worse than the old one, which I didn't think possible.

Just saw Mia Farrow talking about Darfur.

What is the UN good for anyway? They are totally worthless.

Even though the terrorists said they'd stop the rocket attacks.

I saw Silvan Shalom on channel one yesterday calling for a complete reoccupation of Gaza to end the rocket attacks. I hate to say it but I think he's right.

Instead of chopping up our B-52's at Davis-Monthan, how about we sell a couple intact to the Israelis?

Apply 40,000 lbs of steel-clad CompB to the hair, lather, rinse, repeat...

Darfur is an example of pure evil, and it's now spreading into Chad. But, since Sudan is a muzzie country, it gets a pass from the UN. If the UN can't do anything about Darfur, the clearest case, it really is useless.

I hate to say it but I think he's right.

Now if we could just rewind the clock and thousands of Jews whose lives and livelihoods and sense of place and belonging- and interred loved ones- and faith in their country could only be restored, it would be like nothing ever happened.

That is if you ignore all the other sh*t that resulted and will continue from the greatest folly a sovereign nation ever caused itself.

You can't change history. When it comes to Gaza I was wrong and you were right... almost. Gaza is a disaster not because keeping a few thousand Jews among 2 million hostile Arabs was a good idea. The folly was in not sealing Gaza and in not taking strong military action the moment terrorists struck.

Where I was really wrong was in believing that Ehud Olmert, with all his experience, actually understood what needed to be done. Either he didn't (and still doesn't) or he is just a horribly weak-kneed leader with no backbone who is too worried about hasbara. Either way, his term as Prime Minister has been a disaster so far.

I just hope something changes if he gets rid of Peretz as DM. I'm not holding my breath.
