These thugs do this EVERY WEEK to the orthodox churchs of the area.

They invade services, they throw refuse at the bishops during holy day services.

They are truly little more than savage animals. However they have the backing of the islamic main stream.

They also shouted a warning to Benedict: "Pope, don't make a mistake, don't wear out our patience."

A group leader read a statement saying Benedict had offended Muslims with his comments linking violence and Islam, but the reading was interrupted by police.

Making the Pope's point for all the world to witness, the "Religion of Peace" practicing tolerance and non-violence.

It gets worse. A friend of mine sent me this a week ago:

Newsangst: Muslims Behead Christian Teen
November 03, 2006 01:00 PM EST

An Assyrian Christian teen has been beheaded while at his work. He was murdered by Muslims because he is a Christian.

Per Dr. Jeremy Reynalds of PipeLineNews.org dispatched from San Francisco, CA, this Assyrian believer had reported to his job when accosted by fanatics.

The Assyrian International News Agency informed media feeds that the 14-year-old Christian, Ayad Tariq, from Baqouba, Iraq, was killed while employed at his 12-hour work shift.

Tariq oversaw an electric generator operation. While on shift, "a group of disguised Muslim insurgents walked in at the beginning of his shift shortly after 6 a.m. and asked him for his ID."

"According to another employee who witnessed the events, and who hid when he saw insurgents approach, the insurgents questions Ayad after seeing that his ID noted he was a ‘Christian.’ The insurgents asked the boy if he was really a ‘Christian sinner.’"

When Muslims question a Christian prior to killing them, it is to see if the Christian will recant. If the Christian does not give up on allegiance to Christ as Savior, then that believer is murdered by Islamic zealots. It is part of their mission in depopulating the world of Christians by slaying them. The overall gol is Islam World Rule.

"Ayad reportedly replied, ‘Yes, I am Christian, but I am not a sinner.’ The insurgents immediately said, ‘dirty Christian sinner!’"

What the teen was trying to explain is that a Christian is a mortal forgiven of his sins by the Savior Christ. Therefore, once a sinner, now a repentant sinner, the believer is a member of God’s grace family. However, the Muslims intent on killing Ayad did not care about specifics concerning Christian doctrine; they were out to depopulate the Earth of still another Christian.

"Then they proceeded to each hold one of the boy's limbs, ‘Allahu akbar! Allahu akbar!’ while beheading him."

Muslim carnage against Christians has so increased in Iraq that most Christians have fled Iraq for safety elsewhere. The Christian church has been depleted of many of its stalwart members. They see no way out of the present Muslim daily murder sprees taking place from one end of Iraq to another.

Priests, evangelists, and pastors have been killed while going to hold services in their churches. There is no safe ground for any Christian leadership in Iraq today.

"Internet terror expert Glen Jenvey (www.glen-jenvey.com) said in an e-mail interview that if Christians are routinely forced to carry identification cards stating their faith, then thousands of Iraqi Christians are living in fear because of their ID's. And that, Jenvey said, is ‘horrendous.’"

"The web site http://www.ankawa.com is a ‘Chaldean Assyrian Syriac Site with news and articles’.

"AINA was responsible for providing the translation from Arabic for the news article."

The protesters belong to the Great Unity Party, a far right-wing group

Gotta love that good ole MSM (AP/Yahoo) bias -- using the terminology they often reserve for people like Newt Gingrich to describe a bunch of murderous Islamonazi thugs.

Over the last 7 years, 150 Orthodox churches and monasteries have been damaged, desecrated or outright blown-up entirely. Some date back to the 12th and 13th centuries. Over the course of the same seven years, the Islamofascist conquerors of Kosovo have built no less than 400 mosques (one of them bears the name of O. bin Laden). When the Serbs return to Kosovo, the world will witness the first ever launching of brick-and-mortar rockets (a.k.a minarets) into outer space.

Boka- thanks for those links- will check em out later for sure. Yep- Christians got to carry cards in those nations & it's akin to 'the mark of the beast'- without those cards, they can't buy things, & are subjected to violence- they have to in essence agree with the Muslim faith in order to live in semi-peace there- This same hting IS comming our way unless we get the picture QUICKLY and prevent it- but of course the surrender & comply dems can't see the writing on the wall & think it would be less problamatic to just give the muslims what they want.

And like I once said to Hoplite, when the day comes that all the Muslims are driven out of Europe, I think that a Serb should have the honor of kicking the last Muslim butt back across the Bosphorus -- and miss the shore!

Liberate Constantinople, and reconsecrate Hagia Sophia!!!!

Would love to see that!

Lately one thing I read has been coming to mind more and more. In Gibbon's massive work, there was a mention of a statue that used to stand in Constantinople. The inscription was that in the last days, the "Rus" would take the city. At that time, the Rus tribe was pagan. Today they are Russian Orthodox.

Prayers for BXVI. He is going into the lions den next week.

Don't accuse them of being violent or you'll provoke them to violence.

The best thing is that B16 will plant not only the seeds of future conversion to faith in Christ via his holy witnessing, but help with God's help to promote greater Christian unity by seeing the Orthodox leadership.

"Liberate Constantinople, and reconsecrate Hagia Sophia!!!!"

When I was a little boy, my grandfather would tell me the story of the Fall of Constaninople where one of my ancestors died fighting in breach in the walls next to Constantine XI Paleologos. As the Turks rushed into the City, men, women and children gathered in the Great Church for a final Divine Liturgy celebrated by both Orthodox and Latin clergy. Just at the consecration, the Turks burst in and began to slaughter the worshippers. As they did, the priests gathered up the consecrated gifts and disappeared into the back or Eastern wall of the apse. Papou said that when the Great Church is consecrated again to the worship of our Triune God, the priests will return from the wall to finish the Liturgy.

Me, too!

He has my prayers. And I truly do hope that he returns safe and sound.

But you do know that if something were to happen to PB on this trip, that would be the final straw re Islam for most of the Western world. The New Crusades would indeed begin.

There has been intense debate in Turkey about whether the pope will pray inside the Haghia Sophia, with some saying that doing so would be a political act and an attempt to reclaim its status as a great Christian church.

Returning the Haghia Sophia to the Orthodox faith would be a good start!

I do remember reading about that story that when the Christians get back Hagia Sophia what remains of that liturgy will resume.

Love that story. Many legends about that final liturgy.
