Muslims protest with prayer at Sea-Tac Airport [Planning major protest in Wash. DC on Monday]

Six Seattle-area Muslims gathered in prayer Friday in front of a US Airways ticket counter at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to protest the removal of six imams from a flight in Minneapolis earlier this week.

The prayer lasted eight minutes without incident.

"We are asserting the right of Muslims to be free of fear, free of apprehension, to take an equal seat at the table," said Jafar Siddiqui, a member of American Muslims of Puget Sound.

Afterward, airport patron Frank Meyers, of San Jose, Calif., accused airport terminal managers of being "politically correct" by allowing the prayer service to block a public elevator.

"We're in a war, sir," he told an airport terminal manager. "We're in a war against terrorism. Do you have any concept of that?"

The imams were removed from the flight to Phoenix on Monday night after three of them said their usual evening prayers in the terminal in Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport before boarding, said Omar Shahin, president of the North American Imams Federation, who was one of the passengers removed.

According to a police report, a US Airways manager said three of the men had one-way tickets and none checked baggage...

A national Muslim group has planned a much larger pray-in for Monday morning at Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C.

There was a time when humor-deficient travelers thought it was a good joke to declare marijuana or bombs when a customs agent inspected baggage. After a few of these moronic 'jokesters" were introduced to the real world by real world punishment, the incidence of travelers making that kind of 'humorous' comment stopped.

These 'imams' are trying to alter the system in which we live. We could hope that their treatment will give pause to future fliers who need to pray loudly in Arabic in American airports.

As a whole concept PC is not going to get us killed

If we can't stand and fight on our own soil, then the battle is already lost.

Our forefathers must be spinning in their graves.

One patriot in a crowd of sheeple.

Sorry. Frank Myers is an idiot.

We are not "in a war against terrorism."

We are in a war against the Muslims.

President Bush, wake up. Please!

In the 1960s I met a young girl who was apologetic about being German, even though she was born after the war, because she was fearful that people would blame her anyway for what Germans did during WWII.

If American muslims really wanted to distance themselves from Islamofascism, they would conduct themselves with extra sensitivity in mixed environments, like say an AIRPORT. Excuse me for yelling.

That they prefer instead to provoke non-muslim Americans speaks volumes about their outlook and their emotional connection to America. They want us not to tolerate them, but to defer to them.

Right. Assimilating vs. Assimilation.

"One patriot in a crowd of sheeple."

I hate to see this...I travel by air a lot and I'm afraid the first time my travel is interrupted or I am inconvenienced by a group to these goat breeders, I will be in a lot of trouble. I have zero tollerance of this garbage and I will make my feelings known.

How ironic that the Muslims are protesting at Sea-Tac, where America's most mysterious, unsolved hijacking (D.B. Cooper) occurred.

More on the Six Traveling Imams

Omar Shahin, who has acted as the group's spokesman, appears to have ties to terrorist-supporting groups.

On July 13, 2005, Steven Emerson, Executive Director of the Investigative Project on Terrorism, testified before the Senate Banking Committee on investigations into the funding of terrorist groups. His testimony focused, in part, on an Islamic charity called "KindHearts for Charitable Humanitarian Development." Emerson mentioned Omar Shahin as one of KindHearts' links to terror-supporting organizations ...(more)

I wonder why they wanted belt extenders, to make garrotes? Or were they hoping to switch them for some they somehow smuggled aboard that were disguised "belt bombs". Or that they could possibly probe into carrying these extenders onto a plane without suspicion saying they mistakenly kept them after the flight and were returning them? They have a fetsh about belt bombs we all know that and I suspect its possible they have found a way to create an explosive device of different belts each having an inert undetectable chemical but when combined could be dangerous, its a longshot but its a gut feeling.

How about a little sensitivity for all the carnage the religion of pees has done to the world so far, for those killed all over the world as well as for the Americans who have fought and died so that muslims can have a shot life of their own making instead of living under a sadist dictator like Sodamn Insane and his family?

Maybe we should start prayer meetings in front of mosques, protest marches against muslims and muslim owned businesses like that lunatic that protests military funerals.

<< Muslims protest ... at Sea-Tac Airport (and are) planning a major protest in Washington DC on Monday)

Islam is incompatible with Judeo-Christian/Western/Human Civilization and we will either cotton on to that fact or will die from our ignorance of it.
