Murdered Russian ex-spy Alexander Litvinenko passed documents to former Yukos CEO in Israel months before his death - report

Leonid Nevzlin, former CEO of the oil giant and current chairman of the Diaspora Museum in Tel Aviv, says the former Russian spy came to Israel with classified documents on Yukos which may be damaging to Russian leaders. Nevzliln estimates that Litvinenko’s death was connected with this information, which he has handed to London police investigators of the murder.

DEBKAfile’s intelligence sources add that the Russian ex-spy is believed to have been a double agent, who sold trade secrets to different parties in and outside Russia, among them some of the Russian oligarchs living in exile in the West. Livinenko served as a colonel in a Russian Federal Security Services unit which investigated and carried out special operations against businessmen.

British police found traces of the radioactive Polonium 210 in Litvinenko’s urine.

The London media accuse Vladimir Putin of being behind the murder which they claim was politically-motivated.

No doubt, more than a few scenarios to be floated - so as to dilute the truth of the matter - which we may never know; in fact.

That said, do not believe it was suicide; and personally give this man credibility on his death bed in that he knew who killed him and said as much.

You can take the man out of the KGB; but not the KGB out of the man; and this is how I view Putin. . .and all this, just another warning of many. . .as to whom we can trust in the world.

What's the big mystery? Putin is former KGB and will always be the slime ball he proved himself to be while he was a communist! Now he calls himself a democratically elected leader...my foot. Russia is plagued by it's former KGB officers more so than any other Warsaw Pact country. Litvinenko was no angel, he was just as bad as the Kremlin crowd, he just switched parties and he paid for it. His switch was not directed by some altruistic and humanitarian reason, it was money and survival...but he clearly chose wrong!

Are you really so naive to think that former KGB agent switched parties because of guilt? Let me see, you also think that former general of the Romanian Interior Ministry (equivalent to KGB), Ion Pacepa (who also has a book available on amazon.com called "Red Horizons") defected out of guilt? It's called survival and sensing when one's end is near, these people are trained to be one step ahead. I have absolutely no pity nor understanding for their previous jobs, the horror, pain and death they brought to so many and no book on amazon.com will wash that. The up-close and personal comes from having relatives decimated by these scumbags who today, because they chose to give information to the CIA, MI6 or Mosaad instead of the KGB, they have the audacity to think that's all in the past. Only can 'assume'; suspect or gather from what I read and that is, he died an 'enemy of the Russia'. And I am interested in his written disclosures that made him so. (perhaps a cover as well?)

Suicide? Why would a man intentionally swallow an extremely rare, deadly poison that causes him a slow agoinizing death over a period of more than two weeks? And then accuse the Russians of doing him in?
