Boston -- Governor Mitt Romney has started his push for the White House, but a recent story could be damaging for Romney. Scienter is a legal term that refers to knowledge of wrongdoing. This means that an offending party has knowledge of the "wrongness" of an act or event prior to committing it. For example, if a man sells a car with brakes that don't work to his friend, and he doesn't know about the problem, then the man has no scienter. If he sells the car and knew of the problem before he sold, he has scienter.
No `scienter', no wrongdoing.
Actually, Basic Pilot went into effect since I last looked at the problem. Before that, you could use other means to verify social security, but it cost something, and if you didn't do it for everybody -- just those who "looked" illegal -- you could be sued.
It looks like Basic Pilot is a good idea. Easy and free. It should be mandatory.

OH PULEEZE every candidate is going to come under some scrutiney for every thing they doo. If they say BOO the wrong way they will come under it. They can't escape it. They can stick up for themselves and I'm sure Romney can. Just remember the Republicans in Massachusetts are not happy with Romney too they are pissed off at him because he did not give them any money for their candidates and they feel he snubbed them. It could be Republicans or Democrats doing this. My posting this does nothing. People who like Romeny will not care one bit. You think no one reads the news but freepers? Millions of people listen to that Fox affiliate in Massachusetts and have seen this on TV! This has been out there. GET A GRIP!

We're not on the left, we're on the RIGHT side of illegal immigration. Bush SUPPORTS 2611, and HE'S on the left with the Ted Kennedy's on this issue.

ANYONE who believes that Romney is somehow to blame because his contractor hired illegals, is a blithering idiot. Romney probably got a great laugh from this one, because if the media is reaching this far, this early, then they already know Romney has the big-MO, baby!

I absolutely hate this type of politics. It isn't enough to disagree...they want to destroy people. The left has done this for a long time, and now the right is doing it FOR them.
If you don't like Romney, support another candidate and don't vote for Romney. That should be sufficient.
