Violence erupted at a Michigan law school Thursday when protestors tried to block a speech by Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo.
Police were called after protestors pulled a fire alarm prior to the speech on immigration policies. There were at least three violent incidents with protestors targeting student backers of the event, Tancredo, R-Littleton, said today.
"One was spit on, one was kicked, and one was punched," Tancredo said in an e-mail. "Tires were also slashed."

My prediction is that before the next election someone will kill a prominent conservative, and someone in the MSM will imply they had it coming.

Who says that liberals have no core values they are willing to fight for? Banning speech they don't agree with is one of their core values!

Tires were also slashed.
That's a fine group of people, at this gathering, supporting their criminals with criminal activity.

Bring it.
The liberals, ANSWER types and the like have gotten by on the common courtesy of others for quite a while now. Like any child, they'll continue to push their boundaries until brought to heel.
Crush your enemies, see them driven before you. Our pres could take a lesson from Conan.

when protestors tried to block a speech Of course they did. Someone speaking out in favor of enforcing our existing immigration laws is simply too dangerous. ....dangerous enough to respond with violence, apparently.

And they are upset because GWB said you are either with us or against us.

Very true. I have no problem with peaceful civil disobedience--but even when one uses that tactic, the fine line of spilling into violent civil disobedience can be easily crossed.

Big dogs at full leash loud with teeth flashing are needed to lead the precession. It has been my experience that liberals, and especially minority liberals do not like attack dogs. These people go phobic and shake a lot. They tend to lose all the momentum they are trying to display and go into a hard and instant reverse. If they want to get nasty and not allow us our freedom to speak and be heard it can be fixed.

Right now, the illegals are showing all Americans why the illegals should be thrown out and why there needs to be a crack-down.
If we follow your example, the illegals win.
Which side are you on? Bush's or America's?

The first "Conan" movie is great.
But anyway, this behavior from leftists punks (and it is always leftists, as you never hear of conservatives interfering with the parade of liberal speakers on campus) is indicative and illustrative of the limits they wish to put on free speech in the United States. It is reflective of what they have already achieved in much of Europe, where one can be put on trial for saying things deemed offensive by some a**hole.

Darn straight. These are the future lawyers, preparing to continue the great anti-American traditions of ACLU and their ilk.

My prediction is that before the next election someone will kill a prominent conservative, and someone in the MSM will imply they had it coming.I think the assassination of Calvo Sotelo, a conservative in the Spanish Parliament, was the flashpoint for the Spanish Civil War. All the issues were already in place, but that lit the fuse.

That would be the same Michigan whose voters overwhelmingly passed a bill to ban racial preference for college admittance?
The same Michigan which allows the university president to refuse to implement said bill? A wonderful group of citizens, those college protesters.

So when are the legal taxpaying sheeple going to go at the throats of these scums? When are the sheeple going to demand or fire the police enforcers who allow this to happen & continue to allow it? My answer is NEVER. Too dumbed down, too lazy. (He is an example. I went with my wife to an early dinner last week. The bar area here is not divided so the tables are relatively close. There is this guy at the bar who answering his phone every 4 minutes, loud, obnoxious conversation, etc. So I am waiting to see if anyone who are all around & certainly looked more peeved than I, will say anything to this idiot. You know the answer. NO NADA. Once again the responsibility rest on this person. After a rather heated exchange he got the message & finally left. Now the rest of the story - The others were so relieved & one said thank you. My reply was I don't want your thanks. Why did you just sit there & allow him to invade your space w/o doing a thing about it & you know you would not & he would be here presently ruining your evening.) See why we are losing our freedoms as nobody does a thing about it.

The local Battle Creek radio station this morning had a discussion about the violence at the Tancredo speech at Michigan State in Lansing. One of the persons involved in inviting Tancredo said that no major Michigan news outlet covered what happened - the Leftie professors must be very proud of their highly educated thugs. Or were these contracted protestors who were paid to give Tancredo and his enablers a very hard time? Amazing times we live in. Civil war in this country is not out of the question -- as the Leftists gain ground in trying to shut up the opposition to the illegal alien invasion, it is only going to get more violent. Did you hear about Jeb! calling Tancredo a "nut" for saying that Miami has turned into 3rd world country.

Completely unforgivable,...but standard behavior for individuals not schooled in civilized behavior by their parents in a nurturing home environment and not by their alleged professional educators in their public or advanced school environment.
What was really "alien" at the venue was the total lack of understanding of the guarantees of the First Amemendent.
Agree or disagree Rep.Tancredo has a right and a duty to express his viewpoints.
I declare Michigan a Third World State. :~)
