Some are attracted to 'external' control over their lives as they haven't the will to exercise self-control. ie. some people are just plain lazy. Freedom was never intended for them.

Wise words. I suppose appethetic and lazy mean about the same in this instance.

Imagine life in bootcamp, though never-ending. Some would embrace this to varying degrees, while foisting it on others and enjoying some measure of glee while doing it.

I used 'lazy' to describe how few sit-ups and push-ups these people would accomplish on their own, though not literally. Would they read good books, learn new skills, endeavour to better themselves- absent an external control? I doubt it.

Perhaps the biggest waste of freedom is just that: it is wasted. Some just happen to feel that you can make a better use of your time and are all too eager to impose conditions to make it so.

Example: The producers of "Girls Gone Wild" and a teenager throwing clothes all over their room are identical twins. They both have the 'freedom' to behave respecfully toward their 'parents/society' but chose not to. In both cases, laziness is prominant- as neither is willing to include 'others' and their effects upon them, while expressing their 'freedom'.

In the perfect state, you're free to do most anything, yet, are considerate of others as to how it might affect them. In the non-perfect state, the boundries and limitations are established for you, and you share a birdcage. Islam is the birdcage with the fewest toys, and people flock to it. Learn, baby, learn.
