Terri's Story
Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation ^ | December 3,2006 | Schindler Foundation

Posted on 12/03/2006 3:03:26 AM PST by 8mmMauser

Theresa Marie Schindler was born to Robert and Mary Schindler on December 3, 1963. She was the first of three children the Schindlers would have.

Terri was a shy, but comical, child who had an affinity for music, animals and the arts. She kept a small circle of friends and was dear to schoolmates, neighboring families and her own extended family.

Following high school, Terri came into her own. She developed a knack for sketching and doodling. She enjoyed outings with her friends. She was an adoptive mother to the family’s dog, Bucky.

Terri attended Catholic School while growing up and remained close to her faith throughout her life.

In 1983, Terri met Michael Schiavo at Bucks County Community College and the two began dating. He was the first romantic interest Terri had.

The couple was engaged within a few months and married a year later at Terri’s church in Southampton, Pa. She was 21.

In 1986, Terri and Michael relocated to Pinellas County, Florida and her parents followed three months later.

In 1990, at the age of 26, Terri suffered a mysterious cardio-respiratory arrest for which no cause has ever been determined. She was diagnosed with hypoxic encephalopathy – neurological injury caused by lack of oxygen to the brain. Terri was placed on a ventilator, but was soon able to breathe on her own and maintain vital function. She remained in a severely compromised neurological state and was provided a PEG tube to ensure the safe delivery of nourishment and hydration.

On March 31, 2005, Terri Schindler Schiavo died of marked dehydration following more than 13 days without nutrition or hydration under the order of Circuit Court Judge, George W. Greer of the Pinellas-Pasco’s Sixth Judicial Court. Terri was 41.

Oh, yeah I believe that. Such stupid theories cannot answer the simple question "Why would anyone spike an investigation into a possible murder?" And the answer is "Obviously they would not."

But logic, facts and information mean nothing to the True Believers.

There are lots of euthanasia enthusiasts in Florida's local, county and state agencies. If an investigator has the misfortune of working for one of them, they will be ordered to stop an investigation and given a transfer to another location. That's how it's done.

I will say this. The people out there that denied Terri a right to food and water have no problem giving food stamps and water to those who are perfectly capable of working and providing food and water for themselves. They do not believe in God, this is why they have no problem separating morality from legality. The court is their God. As long as courts and lawmakers make law where morality is not an issue, we will have unjust laws. As long as man, man who is basically selfish and has personal interests in mind, is in control, the bar for who is expendable will keep rising. This is why God is there, we are quite incapable of being just. Terri(by the way Terri, you have not died in vain)has reinforced the issue of why it is not our choice. It was really no problem for any of us if Terri had lived. The real liberal issue here was making the disabled game for extrmination. Remember, It took very little for Terri to be fed, and she was loved by a wonderful family. A Tribute to you Terri, by someone with a crippled leg.

Who exactly are "the Hitler's" in your example? I don't follow that sentence.

The poster said, "So was our war against the Hitler's eugenics program".

Do you follow that sentence now?

Terri has taught us how to love perfectly- the gift of life.

So, too, has her family.

Perfect!

Remember, It took very little for Terri to be fed, and she was loved by a wonderful family.

She had a loving family that was more than able to take care of her and there were millions of dollars pledged to do whatever was necessary to keep her alive, including paying off her adulterous, ghoulish "husband."

A Tribute to you Terri, by someone with a crippled leg.

Almost all of us know somebody with some sort of disability or have elderly loved ones and all of us will someday be in our "twilight" years -- and I for one do not want some black-robed tyrant deciding that my life or a loved one's life is "no longer worth living."

So to your way of thinking, preventing genocide is nothing more than a political agenda?

You are so right. Didn't they sell the names of the people who donated money to them to some Religious or telemarketing group?

>> Some posters are quick to mention the rule of law.

No kidding. The less they know about law, the louder they get. I would include an honorable mention to Stephen Breyer after his comments over the weekend. If he wants to post here I'll 'splain it to him :-)

And I suppose you are supportive of Michael Schiavo making the kind of money he is from his wife's murder and his campaigning for the Democrats?

Typical lib reaction. This is a tribute thread to Terri. They act like it is a debate on why the family is so corrupt, therefore it is okay that Terri should die. Libs destroy the innocent in order to justify their own guilt. I guess the ones that post here are looking for someone to agree to make them feel better! Maybe they are looking for hope. Otherwise there is the Huffpo.

Was that before Michael had her dehydrated or after he had her killed by dehydration?

I was asking a question because I heard that they sold the list of donors to some firm. I wanted some verification.

For posterity purposes, you don't mind if Terri's rehap money was spent to kill her, right?

>> I don't see why some people are getting so hung up on that term. I imply nothing perjoritive by it.

Oh? It was certainly "perjoritive" [sic] to scream in boldface type that we are "exact"ly the "same" as leftwingers, and to accuse us, as you did, of, quote, "hypocrisy."

One more time. We're not here to score political points. We are investigating a crime. In that effort, stretching over several years, we have posted many hundreds of articles and news items, and added scores of thousands of comments.

If you want to learn something about the case, start reading. This is the place.
