White al Qaeda in Bosnia
SPEIGEL ONLINE (quick and dirty translation) ^

"No general had the authority to command us, former Quaida activist Ali Hamad reports about his time as commander of a Mujaheddin unit in the war in Bosnia. In the Interview with SPIEGEL ONLINE the former terrorist warns of a sleeper network in the Balkan.

SPEIGEL ONLINE: You fought as the commander of a Quaida unit in Bosnia, ordered by Bin Laden. Today you call yourself his biggest enemy. Why did you renounce terrorism?

Hamad: I was hired by Quaida officers in Bahrein when I was 17 years old. My family had cast me out and I welcomed every help that could promise me a mhome and bread. After a 13 month long training in a Quaide camp in Afghanistan I became a soldier in one of Bin Laden's units. He convinced me that we would fight a Holy War for Islam, which was under attack by Judaism and Christianity.

SPEIGEL ONLINE: Including suicide attacks?

Hamad: The lectures in Afghanistan had brain washed me. I would definitely have wired me with explosives and blown me up at some place in cold blood. At least if I would have taken hundreds of our enemies with me.

SPEIGEL ONLINE: You would have had no second thoughts to sacrifice your own life?

Hamad: If you see your fellow fighters run into death without hesitation, you will follow them blindly. Our teachers convinced us that death is painless - one would feel it like the sting of a needle at most. He who would kill a Christian or a Jew would only exchange his visible body with an invisible one.

SPEIGEL ONLINE: In the 8 years that you are already here in the bosnian Zenica prison, you wrote a book about Al Quaida. The book mainly deals with Al Quaeda's role in the war in Bosnia.

Hamad: Al-Quaida wasn't interested in helping the Bosnian muslims, they were interested in creating a base of operations that would allow them to increase their radius of operations - much like the USA with their bases spread across the globe. Some leaders of the Western World noticed that, but did nothing.

SPEIGEL ONLINE: What makes you think that?

Hamad: For example, the bosnian army and our units were supplied with weapons from Iran, in the time of the embargo.

SPEIGEL ONLINE: While standing before the Haag tribunal, you were mainly asked about your connection to the bosnian army. The prosecutors were interested, whether the mujaheddin which are known for their cruelty had been under command of the Bosnians.

Hamad: 1992 there had been a mass influx of mujaheddin into the Balkan. Our route led via Frankfurt toZagreb, Split and from there via Mostar into Bosnia. Croats and Bosnians let us pass, those who wanted a bosnian passport recieved it - though we mostly used false names for that. The political and military command of Bosnia at that time granted us the highest privileges and immunity from the police.

SPEIGEL ONLINE:Was there no protest against your fighting methods?

Hamad: Of course our methods were cruel. Al Quaida demanded to torture the enemy, to cut him into pieces with chainsaws, to massacre him with knives. Though we officially had to obey the command of the bosnian army, our conditions were accepted: No bosnian general was allowed to command us.

SPEIGEL ONLINE: Contrary to the Dayton peace treaty, the foreign combattants stayed in the country - as sleepers for future terror attacks on the european continent?

Hamad: The bosnian leadership put themselves out so we would get bosnian passports after the war, and we were advised to marry bosnian women, so we could stay in the country as civilians. Many Quaida fighters entered humanitarian organisations and got their papers that way. Concerning the future danger of terrorism: Had the terrorism in Bosnia not been able to root in the Balkan, he would not be able to threaten Europe as open as he is doing it now.

SPEIGEL ONLINE: Bosnia wants to become a member of the EU. Doesn't Al Quaida have to fear that the persecution of potential mujaheddin will become much easier for the EU and also the USA this way?

Hamad: In the momentary bosnian leadership, there are people who welcomed our arrival in the past. Also there were 400 native, bosnian mujaheddin in our unit, which supported the terrorist methods of Al Ouaida. Today, maybe 800 Bosnians belong to the so-called "white Quaeda" - Terrorists with white skin. Their enrollment is supported by the economic crisis. They will help later on to expand the terror network in Europe.

This is, as always, a quick translation by me. Better than google translator, feel free to correct me (please not typos, but passages that 'feel' wrong), I am also doing this to improve my written english.

The link doesn't work for me. You have a direct link to the German language version of the article?

And elsewhere no doubt.

Hamad: Al-Quaida wasn't interested in helping the Bosnian muslims, they were interested in creating a base of operations that would allow them to increase their radius of operations - much like the USA with their bases spread across the globe.

And Bill Clinton helped them achieve their ends. They couldn't have done it without him.

What sort of American would have supported Al Qaeda in their efforts? Other than the first two on this ping, of course. Dhimmitude is as dhimmitude does.

Outstanding post, and your English is far better than most any of us could do in German!

But could you ask the moderator to properly title this as "White al Qaeda in Bosnia", so that this post gets the attention that it deserves? Even I wasn't sure what the title was saying as it is written. I only read the post becuase it said "Bosnia".

An excert from the link in post #10.

For example, one such group about which details have come to light is the Third World Relief Agency (TWRA), a Sudan-based, phoney humanitarian organization which has been a major link in the arms pipeline to Bosnia. ["How Bosnia's Muslims Dodged Arms Embargo: Relief Agency Brokered Aid From Nations, Radical Groups," Washington Post, 9/22/96; see also "Saudis Funded Weapons For Bosnia, Official Says: $300 Million Program Had U.S. 'Stealth Cooperation'," Washington Post, 2/2/96] TWRA is believed to be connected with such fixtures of the Islamic terror network as Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman (the convicted mastermind behind the 1993 World Trade Center bombing) and Osama Binladen, a wealthy Saudi emigre believed to bankroll numerous militant groups. [WP, 9/22/96] (Sheik Rahman, a native of Egypt, is currently in prison in the United States; letter bombs addressed to targets in Washington and London, apparently from Alexandria, Egypt, are believed connected with his case. Binladen was a resident in Khartoum, Sudan, until last year; he is now believed to be in Afghanistan, "where he has issued statements calling for attacks on U.S. forces in the Persian Gulf." [WP, 9/22/96])

Thank you for posting this.

This shows that the Bosnian government and its entire leadership, including Alija Izetbegovic, was criminal and permitted torture and mutilation.

This former Mujahideen says they were officially to obey the Bosnian army, but that the army was permissive and didn't complain about their killing methods.

"Our route led via Frankfurt to Zagreb, Split and from there via Mostar into Bosnia. Croats and Bosnians let us pass"

It also shows how Croatia (a Catholic country) helped bring these people into the Balkans. The Bosnian Croats would later be on the receiving end of some of the torture, killings and mutilations of the Mujahideen. Only then did the Croats mind - but if the Mujahideens had kept only to murdering Serbs it would have been A-O.K. for the Croats.

Too bad that in the interview they didn't ask him about specific battles/skirmishes/raids he partook in - the when, where (exactly), estimated killed, civilians/army ratio, men/women, elderly/children, etc. This would be helpful about identifying any mass graves too. Likely some of the bodies the Serbs could not bury are claimed to be Muslims when discovered.

Read how the Catholics helped bring the Mujahideen to Bosnia.

Doesn't it make you mad how the western propaganda portrayed the Bosnian Muslim leadership as moderates when they permitted torture and killings with chainsaws - and they had hundreds of their own homegrown Mujahideen involved too in the slicing and dicing and decapitating of Serbs.

What makes me maddest is that here we sit, 15 years later, in the US threatened by the same forces that the Serbs fought, and our own US government is still supporting these Islamists in hotbeds like Bosnia and Kosovo while claiming to be "fighting the war on terror". That is what really burns me -- along with the Globalist NGO morons who have our government officials' ear and who claim that these bizarre policies are in "the US' best interests" And our elected government listens to them and not to us!

You're welcome. Yes, this place is great for learning. It sure does expand one's vocabulary (general as well as political) and people are always willing to help.

I speak/read/write Serbian and English. I am learning German... trying to, at least. :)

Regards!

Pretty soon the usual suspects will turn up to denounce this interview as Serb propaganda, and tell us that the Serbs weren't fighting against Islamic terrorism. Quite frankly, I'm surprised there aren't already posts to that effect on the thread.
