America needs Barack Obama to lead us into a new era
The Union Leader ^

This is where Barack Obama is head and shoulders above any of the other potential candidates on either side. This is where he is in a league all his own.
Listen to him speak and you feel the power of his intellect, but just as strongly you feel the power of his heart. This is a leader who will be able and inclined to reach out to the powerful and the disenfranchised. His guileless style and his heart have not yet been corrupted by the cesspool of Washington politics. That's why we need him now.

I drove past Wayne's house yesterday and wondered what he was doing these days. He was once my state rep, then senator, then he ran for governor and got soundly whipped, as he well deserved. He didn't even carry his own home town.

He sounds so great why dont we just give him the job without him earning it????

We don't need some "guileless" amateur in the White House at this juncture, if that indeed is what Obama is. I tend to think he's a slick piece of goods motivated by ambition who'll tell people what they want to hear without having any real principles of his own. But never mind. What we really need in a President is a tough, Machiavellian son of a bitch who'll stick it to our enemies in every way possible at all times. That's why I'm kind of leaning toward Giuliani at this point. He may not be conservative enough on a whole range of issues, but he has all the qualifications stated above.

The times call for a fresh face, untainted by scandal and unpolluted by the winds of arrogance and corrupting power that blow through the Capitol. The times call for a leader who can call on all Americans to focus on what unites us, to take pride in ourselves and our country, and to play a role in restoring the moral leadership of this planet. That's a very tall order. We've seen the rest, we need the best. And there is only one person who can do that: Barack Obama.I heard this guy was an admitted former crack user. I guess that makes him "untainted" in the 'rat party.

He has about as much experience as Condi Rice did before she was appointed to Sec of State. Wrong. Rice had extensive experience in foreign policy and national security going back to the Reagan administration. Obama has been in the Senate two years and done nothing significant while collecting a check from tax payers. He's a slick package. I think that Obama-mania will exhaust itself soon enough.

We need Obama? Pure bunk. Obama's a smooth talker -- a predictable liberal who happens to have some manners. He looks good only in comparison with the more obvious phoniness of Clintoon, the arrogance of Shrillery and Frog, and the hate-filled malevolence of Gore and Dean. No one should be fooled.

Interesting, the same quote could have described Bill Clinton back in 1992.
I'm more interested in a candidates beliefs, and not in their smarts or ability to connect emotionally.

making him a small fortune, I'm sure he meets all the requirements of the Democrat party.
Yep, we are going to clean this corrupt government up by electing an other corrupt president.

I saw him on Heartland with John Kasich over the weekend on FOX. It was Rick Warren, Osama Obama, and Sam Brownback. It was about the world AIDS problem.
Osama said that he "couldn't have planned" his life to turn out this way 4 years ago, but it's great to be an instrument for (something to the effect of) something greater than myself. He was actually insinuating that God was using him for further His agenda in this world and that Osama hadn't planned to be where he is right now.
Of course we all know how God feels about the murder of babies in the womb and homosexual relationships, two of Osama's favorite issues. The screen banner should have read "BARF ALERT!!!"
