U.S. Sen. Barack Obama came to Hillary Rodham Clinton's turf for a fundraiser and told reporters the New York senator would be a strong presidential candidate.

Obama was the speaker at a dinner that raised $700,000 for Kids in Distressed Situations, the New York Daily News reported. Tickets went for $2,500 each.

"I have the utmost respect for Hillary Clinton," he told reporters. "She has been a friend and an ally. She could win if she ran."

Neither Clinton nor Obama has made a formal announcement about seeking the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008.

While these two are hugging each other (give me a break!) and the MSM is publishing their every word - real issues are going begging - one of the most blatant is the issue of Muslims and our perchance for Political Correctness, Islam’s weapon of choice.

(Tale of fibbing Imams)
(Faking Imams)
(Keith Ellison)........If it were an orchestrated stunt to create public sympathy and force airports to look the other way when groups of Muslim men fly, it's working. The Minneapolis airport plans to add a prayer room for Muslims, and Democrats plan to hold hearings on Muslim profiling. This could have a chilling effect on efforts to investigate terror suspects in the Muslim community.
( dismiss imams' racism claim)

CAIR, ACLU, Soros & Heinz money for many organizations that support the Islamic cause and many of our elected are trying to stop any ( Profiling)......turbans, robes, veils etc; the image of MUSLIM doesn't cross your mind? What foolishness. Obama and Clinton could do a lot to quash the on going Islamic onslaught going on in America by these imposters as could ALL our elected.

For awhile I had hopes that the Obama flu was abating, but alas more evidence that another outbreak is here full swing with no signs that we've reached the peak.

"Kids in Distressed Situations"?

...like what? No Daddy and a Mommy on crack, welfare and food stamps created by the likes of Obama? This is called, "continuing education for future voters". We (the govmt) have helped millions since the 1960's. Now that they're dying off, it's time to create other "worthwhile" causes to further enhance our voter data base. Next up, "Grandkids in Distressed Situations"!

Precisely.

All part of the plan.

Obama challenging Hillary! in any meaningful way in 2008 is (and always was) a ruse.

Hillary and Obama are playing to each other's base, not only trying to get votes from the other, but each is finagling for the VP spot if the other gets the nomination.

Obama: "She could win if she ran."

But Madame Hamhocks' thighs would rub together if she ran.

Very beatable. Illinois is already a Hillary state. she needs to pick off a Red state. i'd predict either former VA gov, or even Richardson to pull more hispanic vote in AZ and FL.

Why do I get the feeling that this whole Obama/clinton thing was put together to get her campaign off the ground?

What better way for her supporters to come running out of the woodwork and from under rocks than to have someone say they are going to run against her....

See, folks, NEVER TRUST A RAT....

Right now I would bet on a Hillary -Hussein Obama ticket.

As crazy as it sounds.

Its hard for me to believe that political leaders and the American people have fallen for this guy no one ever heard of two years ago. I do realise that blacks dont care about records or anything else any good looking black man will appeal to them, but what is with the rest of those having this fever for someone no one has ever heard of.

"my first thought, too. he's running for veep."

This has also been my take. All the media hype can't cover Obama's lack of qualifications for president but the slobbering media goo-goil can create a Charismatic image which Hillary lacks, and he will assure the minority vote goes strongly Democrat.

He will take the nomination to fill the deficiency in his political resume and settle for a grooming period. He's relatively young for a politician and probably has advisers telling him he needs to wait for his time.

Hillary/Obama may be hard to stop in 2008.

And what is the possibility now that the Dems have control that they will work out some form of amnesty that adds 20,000,000 illegals to the pool from which to draw more voters sympathetic to socialism? One out of seven Mexican nationals is now employed in the US according to a new report out.

maybe. but two senators on the ticket again? the only thing that is a bigger loser than a senator at the top of a national ticket is TWO senators on the ticket.
