THE HAGUE, Netherlands -- Former President Bill Clinton on Thursday endorsed the idea of talks with Iran and Syria to help ease the bloodletting in Iraq, saying it would also be in Tehran's interests.
Clinton spoke in the Netherlands the day after the Iraq Study Group, a bipartisan panel that included senior officials from his administration, proposed engaging the two Middle Eastern countries -- and U.S. foes -- in the search for peace in Iraq.

"I think if we were to leave as soon as we could physically get out of there, there would be more chaos and more death in the country .... so I don't favor that," he said.
But he said pulling out some troops "would send a signal that we're changing policy, and it, I think, would free up some troops to try to be strong in Afghanistan."
Way to be decisive, Bill!

Maybe we could send Bubba and Jimmah to Iran as America's personal envoys to the Islamofascists? I figure that it will take all of about 60 seconds for the Sink Emperor to make a lewd and lascivious comment to some fine veiled Iranian beauty that will get him picked up by the mullah's morals police, and as I've suggested in the past, as Jimmah's chicklet grinnin' face steps off the plane, Tony Snow calls an urgent press conference to announce that while it appears that Jimmy Carter WAS a paid agent of the Shah's SAVAK security service, that such indiscretions are in the past and should in no way be considered in Carter's latest diplomatic initiative to Tehran.
Now THAT is what is called a twofer. ;)

What is *spine-chilling* is that it looks like President Bush is considering it.

Bill and his buddies are incapable of understanding that there are people in this world who will actually fight, and in fact
prefer to fight.
Because Bill wouldn't fight for anything or anyone, he just cannot conceive that everyone else isn't just like him.

Bill only supports monologs. His idea of a dialog is where he argues on both sides of an issue.

He still has his eye on that UN position; not to mention Hillary's bid for the White House!
He is revolting!

Web Hubbell, Vince Foster, John Podesta, Vernon Jordon, Bettie Currie, Sidney Blumenthal, Harold Ickes, etc. ad nauesum are not going to be able to help him out of this one!
