A tire maintenance worker at Metro's Hiram Clarke facility was shot 18 times and killed by a friend and fellow worker after the two feuded for days over a woman, the men's supervisor said. Police on Thursday identified Mario Love, 27, of the 5600 block of East Hampton, as the slain man and said his killer is believed to be a man they found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Harris County Medical Examiner's office identified that man as Marcus L. Boone, 22. He fit the description witnesses gave of Love's shooter.
The man believed to have committed suicide after killing Love had been transferred to another work site because of a running dispute between the two, said their supervisor, Dave Renfro. The transferred man returned to the Hiram Clarke site about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday and opened fire on Love, said Renfro. Information about the type of weapon used was unavailable. "Some of the mechanics heard the shots, but nobody saw it happen," said Renfro.
It depends on what the meaning of the word 'friend' is.
Let's not judge too quickly. The gun might have accidently gone off.
At least an SUV wasn't involved.
