In Michigan there are a few totally blind persons ( I mean can see nothing but blackness) that have used the law to hunt deer.

Its not a problem.

"Thank you both for the two most coherent replies on the entire thread."

Thanks for noticing. For a time I thought it was the DUmp.

But I know most were joking and over looking something that is serious to a blind person.

Just the fact that someone is willing to spend the time to help a handicapped person do ANYTHING means a lot to them.

There is no reason to deny them the fun of hunting if someone is willing to spend the time to help them.

"Ya, but how much fun can that possibly be for the friend."

Define FUN ?

How much fun is it to mow the old couple down the road's lawn?

How about taking a mess of fish or some dressed game to someone that can't or don't hunt/fish?

Cutting firewood for the Ole' boy down the road can't be much fun, can it?

You know the one, the farmer that always used to let you hunt on his farm? The old guy that gave the kids pumpkins out of his garden and taught them how to make jack-o-lanterns?
Remember him? His wife always used to send a sack of apples home with the kids ( after she stuffed them with pie and cookies).

You don't know them? You never help them out with some simple chores?

OK, I guess YOU don't know what fun is!

Olympic Sumo High Diving competitions?

Not very practical. One heat would take three days, what with refilling the pool and all.

The only race of any kind i've ever gone to was a dirt track race in Western NC. They had a "sack race" where the drivers had bags on their heads and the first one to made it around three times won!

That is hilarious. It's fearless, mindless feats of bravado like this that help us of Scots-Irish descent to ensure the quality of the gene-pool...
