And why would He know anything about this or be considered an authority? /sarc
So now all children need a mother and father, Dodson declares.
What are we suppose to do with all those fatherless or motherless children out there?
There are people right on this very forum who are single parents. I bet they just love stuff like this.
Isn't that exactly what YOU are doing, silencing anybody who disagrees with you?
So hetero couples who use reproductive technologies are selfish? Get real.
LOL!
And get it a daddy!
I think that sound you just heard was Torie's point going right over your head.
I wonder what he has to say about children who have mothers and fathers, and end up being gay?
I bet Dick Cheney wonders, too.
You're probably right; and I'm sure Dick Cheney wouldn't issue any type of statement if this happened in Dobson's family.
Right after the election, I heard somebody talking about how certain groups, liberals and conservatives, have to keep those donations and voters in line and the only way to do that is "fear" and "anger."
No, not at all.
I state that so you know that when I say that Dr. Dobson is a good man, I'm not defending him because of his religion.
I don't agree with everything he believes but I've known him and the people at Focus since before they moved to Colorado Springs and I can assure you, they're a lot more deserving than your comment. They're good people.
Yeah, you are.
"Mary Cheney is a selfish brat out to embarrass her parents, just like that Reagan brat did years ago with her awful books."
Wow. You just blew my mind! ;) Excellent point, and one I've not considered up until now. You bet Miss Mary is mad at "Daddy" for "not being there for her." Payback is a b*tch.
And I adore Mr. Cheney. But I had a Dad just like him; very career driven but with my Mom and us kids in mind at ALL times. He gave us a great life. It was secure, we lacked for NOTHING, and Dad's still my staunchest ally to this day.
It's pretty obvious what's going on here when you look at a gazillion other examples of daughters acting out against their Dads for slights imagined or true. I did it by marrying the wrong man at the wrong time just to spite my Dad. And even though Dad told me I could marry him but would have to finish raising him, I did it anyway. And guess who was there to pick up the pieces when we later divorced because I got sick of raising my husband? ;)
Mary's taking it a step further than I ever would've dared, but some people act out later in life that others when they have the money and the means to do so.
Or...maybe I'm just over-analyzing it all, LOL!
Dodson does not quite have the conjones to just flat out advocate the horrific and unconstitutional prescription of lifting babies from their mothers who are in a gay relationship (I wonder what he thinks about single mothers), but I think that is certainly the implication he leaves.
You brought up the "gay" adoption issue, not me.
"and she will make a much better mother then - let's say - Andrea Yates, a heterosexual woman with a husband, wouldn't you agree?"
I don't know. I'm hoping that Mary Cheney doesn't experience post-partum psychosis.
Add another Nanny State mantra to the list.
I'm sorry, but the so-called conservatives on this site are scaring the crap outta me with this intrusive government shite.
